Version Control in Altium Designer

Great video tutorial, I'm new to altium and never worked with version control before, so I had no clue. All altium wiki articles or videos didn't help to get the idea right but this one did the job.

Nice video. We haven't used SVN yet but are definitely going to start using repositories. We use a lot of git repositories which don't appear to be natively supported in Altium and are debating which to go with. This video shows some great features built into SVN that are definitely worth while.

The biggest advantage that one would get from the Vaults is the ability for the user to determine if a component has been used on any of the projects in the vault and it could be useful for end-of-life for substitution of components. However if you already have a good purchasing database and using SVN, you should be able to accomplish the same thing. The Vaults would be useful for a company that has multiple divisions with many engineers working on the same projects.

how do we use the internal /built in svn of altium and do version control. i am using altium version 17. I am facing problems and am unable to perform it. Kindly help.
