Because of new design, new screen, new fingerprint scanner, new selfie camera, better battery life. This new design is the first design most people like and a lot of people will buy those Pixel because of that. Geeks really have to consider that specs is not everything.

Great video. I searched for a comparison in my language (Italian) but it's incredible that nobody has compared those phones yet. Other videos say also that the "real" pixel experience has started with pixel 9. Ok, AI got an update but I am really happy to hear here that pixel 8 pro is still a great telephone. I bought it in January and it is really top. I don't know what I would buy now if I didn't have my phone but a difference of 450$ makes me think that pixel 8 pro is the better choice at the moment. Both phones will receive 7 major updates so...they will travel together from Android 14 to Android 21.

Why nobody points the major upgrade of the series that is the different modem they are using now! Since the 6th generation there are a huge amount of complains about losing connectivity and not receiving calls, which actually is the major thing that the phone should do!

Still rocking the 6 Pro and I don't see much of a reason to upgrade. OS ist still ultra fluid (also thanks to the 120Hz display) and the camera still isn't much behind compared to the 8 and the 9. You will be happy with it, I am sure!

only reason to maybe avoid 6 series would be no more os upgrades or maybe just the one more, otherwise its a great phone. and yes tge fladh does work w uw

Great review of the photos and video. I have a pixel 8 pro. The 8a looks best out of all the pixel photo comparisons. It's super weird. They're all close enough to each other where it doesn't matter to me, although the nicer skin tones of the pixel 9 pro are nice. I feel like the other glowing reviews of the pixel 9 are overstated after using it in store. If the display looked better that'd go a long ways, but they look exactly the same on the 8 pro and 9 xl. That being said, I bit on a 9 xl after the recent deal. It's coming today. If someone doesn't have a phone with a good trade in value, the entire pixel 8 line up is the best value.

The fingerprint doesn't need the screen to be lit up... Same as my Xiaomi mi 9 that I've been using for the last almost 6 years now with no regrets at all.

First picture with moped was surprising, P8P was sharper with better colors. P8P won out on some other pics as well, so I'm OK not "upgrading" this time around. And yeah your shoes look good as well 🙂

I generally really like your videos but this time, I think there were some strange flaws in it, such as the mentioned battery capacity of the Pixel 9 Pro XL and the update scheme for the Pixel 8 Pro with - according to google - includes seven years of OS AND security updates. I see the effort put into your video and like things like the camera comparison but think that your performance charts were really weirdly scaled.
