@@berendharmsen native English speaker but American and from the South and every once in a while something a Brit says makes my brain short circuit lol interestingly it only seems to happen with them and not with others who learn English and speak with their native accent (like I never have any issues understanding Henning Wehn or Daliso Chopanda when they're on the panel shows) - I suppose it's because they don't typically speak as fast or use as much UK slang. I love linguistics and how our brains process words lol and love connecting with ppl across the ocean thanks to these brilliant comedians who help us stay sane! 💙

He's very entertaining when he's not on a fast-paced panel show. For example QI grinds to an awkward halt when he's on. I could listen to his ridiculous stories in a conversational format. But you can't put him on a show like this imo. Yeah, he gets a few good one-liners in. But not enough to make it work for a whole episode.
