Fun video. I also missed on the Xian capcomcup question. Chun isn't 56 in sf6 though. She is 29 in Third Strike and even though capcom hasn't put an exact amount of years between Third Strike and sf6, there is no way 27 years have passed. Considering sf3 takes place 1-2 years after sf5, Luke would have been in his late 40s considering there would be 28-29 years between sf5 and sf6 if Chun was actually 56 years old in sf6.

Yeah I think the quiz maker assumed SF6 takes place in 2023-24 which would make Chun 56. But considering the phones look more like earlier model iPhones/smart phones and Luke having the heavy MMA theming. I think late 2000s or early 2010s would be when SF6 takes place.

Yeah, I never understood why people assumed SF6 took place in 2023 just because of the release date and all the tech and stuff, since it's a video game. Related to that, it was always dumb to me when people say "This character is X years old today", when they don't age in real time. It's why years stopped being given for some game story timelines

Yeah agreed. The timeline gap between SF 5 > SF 3 > SF 6 aren't that far apart like two decade long. I say probably only took 4-5 years from SF 3 to SF 6 since Luke, Juri, Cammy, and Ed also still looks young compare to their SF 5 version.

There's a big taboo in the jp fg industry about aging of female chars. Males too, but it's more serious with females. Their problem is aging a young adult girl to her 30s. For them it's ok to age who started as a kid or teen, but the problem is who already was a young adult. All those women don't have realistic signs of their age. I mean "realistic" taking into account each one's art style... Tekken will show those aging signs differently from Guilty Gear.

Lol this is a funny eps. But i don't think Chun Li is 56 years old in SF 6 since SF timeline doesn't took place like irl. So Chun Li could be early or mid 30 in SF 6 considering Li-Fen like 10 years old in SF 5 and 3 but she look 15-16 years old in SF 6. The same with Ken's son Mel. We saw him in SF 3 looks like a 7 years old but in SF 6 comic which is canon btw he's like 12-13 years old. Other characters like Luke, Juri, Cammy, and Ed also still looks quite young compare to their SF 5 version.

I get people have visceral reactions to AI but I feel like it has its uses. I don't think this took a job away from a real artist. If the person putting together the thumbnail couldn't make this concept with ai they probably wold have just made something different rather than spending the additional money on an artist

Human ART will ALWAYS have its place AI art will not REPLACE anyone. A human can pin point what a person is looking for if the person want to spend the money for their vision to be pin pointed. If they use AI is pressure the same as grabbing a Google image or a screenshot from a game. If I grab a screenshot from a game that isn't taking away from another artist cause I wast going to hire someone to draw the screenshot.
