i am show about vertical axis turbine made in homemade version. the pvc pipe are used to blade. the air flows the blade are rotated. the mini dc motor produce dc current. the big motor used the energy is highly produced.

You need a way to BLOCK the drag side of the VAWT while making it able to rotate that blocking into the oncoming wind, you could use a tail structure similar to HAWT. I can imagine something that would would quite well. It's not too complicated really. A half cylinder on TOP of the VAWT mounted to the center of the radius on a free spinning bearing with an ARM secured to the top of said HALF cylinder oriented in the down wind direction. There I just invented the solution for VAWTs to make them much more efficient by eliminating the drag side of the spinning blades with a free spinning half cylinder COVER positioned over and AROUND the VAWT structure utilizing a wind vane type tail similar to ones we see on HAWT. >-X

Don't be a stick in the mud. Have some fun. Engineering is a blast! Here we are seeing the transference of potential energy (wind) to a useable electric form. I'm suggesting adding magnetic reinforcement to possibly increase stability and torque, allowing for a more stable, and possibly higher output.
