Vertical/ Deepbite/ Overbite Correction in Adults

My orthodontist gave me “twin block” to correct my jaw (12mm overjet, have crossbite and overbite too) before getting braces at 16 years old. I ended up not wearing them consistently because it was damaging my lower gums, but I’m going back to the same orthodontist now and I’m 20. Do these twin block still work to correct lower jaw, or would I have to remove teeth etc?

I have a fixed arch bow on my lower jaw. Fixed braces on both and bite pillows ❤ gladly I have gotten only partial powerchains triple times. I am no longer ashamed of my teeth (which were my biggest insecurity back in highschool). I took the chance to get my crowding and deep bite fixed since May 25th 2022. I feel more comfortable eating 😊 brace can do wonders 😉

bHAHHAAHA you made my day here- I was trained on the intrusions arch by Charlie Burstone himself. I try to keep my channel to do PRACTICAL and MODERN orthodontics (and this is neither practical NOR modern) but it DOES work and I do fondly remember Dr. Burstone as one of my best mentors so for him I'll make that video.
