I am going through vision therapy for one year already to get rid of my vertical heterophoria without success. I also did Synthonics. A lot of optometrists claim that vertical heterophoria cannot be trained away. Do you have any prove for the Thesis you are stating in this video?

This is the most informative video I’ve seen on treating hyperphoria! Thank you! You just gave me so much hope! I recently turned down prism eyeglasses for fear of my condition worsening. Finding you was not only confirmation, but promising! Thank you and I hope more people who are suffering with this find your videos. I’ve gone to several specialist over the years and was never given this info.

I've been suffering for 6 years with something that doctors haven't been able to diagnose. I wear orthotics in my shoes and haven't changed them in 20 years. This has caused my shoes to wear down on one side. Thanks to you, I now know what the problem could be.

I guess maybe I'm an anomaly? I had Neurolens with a vertical prism for 2 years. My prescription has barely changed. Wasn't even worth it for me to buy new lenses. Once I had the glasses, my body literally unlocked itself into a straighter posture and position--INSTANTLY. The neck bend, lower back bend, hips, it all automatically readjusted. Before I even knew I had vertical heterophoria, I saw a PT and my doctor because I thought I had issues with my posture. I tried PT for about a year and nobody detected any issues with my spine. I thought I had scoliosis and the doctor didn't find any issues with my spine. I started havig headaches and dizziness which then sent me on a journey to find that I had VH. If you have vertical heterophoria, just stand up, cover one eye and you'll see your body reposition itself.

Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) can also cause double vision. I have it 🙋🏻♀️ I also have been diagnosed with thyroid eye disease because my left eye is bulging out and my right eye closes down (Right eye not protruding as the left one) So, just adding a little more info to this great video. Other things to look at.

Thank you for your videos! I suffer from extreme eye strain pain, due to vertical heterophoria. I am currently under going syntonics. Would you be able to give any tips on how to avoid eye strain? Or make a video on how to take care of yourself with this condition to minimize symptoms like dizziness, anxiety & eye strain pain + headaches? Thank you

Hi Erica, I am assuming you are not one of our patients? Please note that "Syntonics" is not the same everywhere....with that said I have made several videos in the past about eye strain. Not sure of the cause of yours of course since I know nothing about your case, but here is one of those videos. Hope it helps and thanks for being here! kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXjZoayPl6yofqs

@@ericagarcia458 gotcha. Too bad, considering we work with people from all over the world and likely could have helped you too. Anyway, Hopefully you find something helpful in that video (or some of my other ones) for eye strain. As for the rest I would suggest (in fact strongly recommend) talking to your Doc about it. I may have some clues as to what is going on but those are only guesses, since I don’t really know what treatment protocols you are receiving and the phase of your current condition. Good luck and thanks for being here!

I have been diagnosed with V heterophoria. I also have macular degeneration much worse in one eye. Can this imbalance be causing the VH? I only started having VH coincident with the increase in AMD.

I have hip and lower back issues and I also have a misalignment in my eyes I am wearing prisms and they do not help
@visontherapy Жыл бұрын
Prisms aren't a very good solution to misalignment anyway. That's why we do not advocate their long-term use. You can start with working on the skeletal misalignments using the recommendations mentioned in the video and if you wish to go further, we can help you with the visual misalignment and very likely reduce your lens prescription and eliminate the prisms in the process. Thanks for being here and for commenting.

What ideas do you have to correct ptosis of the eyelids without surgery? My eyelids already to short, not closing properly at night, as I wake up with extremely dry and red eyes.
@visontherapy Жыл бұрын
Hi Silas, in this case surgery is required as there is really not much else to do because of the eyes being extremely dry all the time which could cause a breakdown of the cornea and then corneal replacement may be necessary.

Hi Dr, me again. Ive just been given prisms for reading, and another pair for distance. Ive had horrible symptoms with BVD for over 5 years and didnt vision therapy since 2021 but had no joy, hence why im not trying to use prisms as its my last hope. From what ive researched and heard for other people with VH, vision therpy cannot align our eyes is there is a vertical misalignment, as the anatomy of our eyes dont work thay that. I have a vertiy misalignment in both eyes. How would vision therapy work if this eas true? If the prisms o have dont work adter some time, what else could i do? 🙏🙏

I understand that VERTICAL HETROPHORIA is popular. You can sell $1,000 glasses for a person who has 20/20 vision. That's real salesmanship.

I have a question, can sinus problems cause these problems? Eyes and sinus are so close to each other that I’m wondering if my huge mucus cysts can be the reason to this? Blood work and MRI came back normal, aside from my cysts. My ophthalmologist doesn’t think it can relate but he said it’s worth asking an ENT. Sorry if it’s an odd question.

Nothing to be sorry about. What problem exactly are you referring to?
@monica1591 Жыл бұрын
@@visontherapy thank you! 4th nerve palsy.
@visontherapy Жыл бұрын
@@monica1591 4th nerve palsy no because this is something that occurs inside the brain and wouldn’t be affected by sinuses. Possibly eye alignment problems if the cysts are crowding into the orbit and affecting the muscles.

@@visontherapy thank you so much! The first optometrist told me I have left eye hypertropia. After being referred to another doctor I was told it’s 4th nerve palsy. Not sure what the difference is but my left eye can sometimes drift up. My left eye also has kinda of an extra eyelid fold, looks like ptosis to me but the optometrist said it was fine. I definitely see my left eye more buldy sometimes.

I didn’t used to have this issue of my eye drifting until kinda when COVID started and I got it. I’ve suffered from allergies all my life and after COVID I have constant postnatal drip. I’m just not sure if all my sinus problems are the reason to this eye problems.

If you have a a rhinoplasty (nosejob) can that push the eyes out if alignment ??

Luke, it cannot be ruled out. It could depend on how extensive the procedure was and also perhaps your reaction to sedation.
