I am usually fishing off Key Largo, but you can get to these fishing spots easily from Tavernier and Islamorada too. Vertical jigging is a fast paced action style of fishing that produces a crazy fish bite! You will catch tons of fish from tuna, grouper and mutton snapper to the more toothy creatures like sharks, barracuda and mackerel.

Just as others have mentioned, it does need a dab of oil before you use it kzbin.infoUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e - put a few drops in through the convenient screw cap and you are good to go! I have fished several weeks with a couple of these, and I will be getting more in the future. I put these against my Abu Garcia Pro Max reel, and they actually perform a bit better than the Abu with some of my lighter cranks, and definitely just as good with the rest of my lures. My Abu is a bit more low profile and fits my hand better, but these are definitely not bad at all. You can almost get 3 of these for the price of my Pro Max. My only complaint is the thumb bar sits pretty high compared to my traditional profile Abu. Bring that thumb bar down a little and I’m sold on these all day long.

Any day fishing is a day well spent. I love making new dishes with fish, especially those I bring back from the Gulf. My favorite boats in PCB were destroyed in a previous hurricane (before Ian) so now it's a search to find large head boats I can charter for overnight trips for our group of 28-30.

Get a really good depth finder with a high power transducer. Then you can see those big fish and drop on them! I like Dans boat.

You should make up some lead free alternatives and use Bismuth as an alternative? Not sure if the Bismuth would be too soft or brittle but can have some funky rainbow colours when heated or cooled down etc.

1. Epic jigging episode! I just bought a new jigging rig and tons of jigs. 2. Dave should hit me up I want a sick Badfish offshore necklace made. 3. In a situation like that, you had the perfect baitfish all around and the wahoo around, should always have 2 or 3 out there on stingers, amazing live bait opportunity to catch wahoo!!! That one that got bit in half was surgical, that was a wahoo!
