Vertigo Review, Tivoli Gardens | World's Most Intense Ride? | Why Haven't More Been Built?

Tivoli Gardens is home to one of the most intense rides in the world in Vertigo, the famous plane-on-a-stick inverting thrill ride. But if the ride is so good, why haven't more been built? I look into that in this video and give my thoughts on this rare attraction.
This ride was removed after the 2021 season.

Tivoli quietly retired Vertigo this past weekend. I'm sad to see the ride go, but I can understand the park's decision given the ride's woefully low capacity to begin with and the fact only one side was open most days.

it is very sad to see i was there last saturday at night that look over the lake (at night) really warms a enthusiasts heart sadly i never got to ride it here the last couple of months i was gonna try it as i finally felt ready i was just waiting for it to open after it stood SBNO but we all know how that went. im offcourse gonna respect their oppinion nad im hoping for something as good or even better. Probably the most intense ride I've ever tried! I tried it again 2 days ago, I had almost forgotten how scary it is lol, it genuinely feels like you black out for a few seconds while it's on it's top speed, no kidding.

How was the line with the covid restrictions?

@@CanobieCoaster They had an app system where you had to book a place in the line... It basically counted down the minutes before you could get in line, so that they could control how many people stood in line at once. Most of the rides had around a 60-100 minute wait when I was there, but Vertigo had a super long wait time. At it's shortest it was 120 mins, at it's longest in the afternoon I saw it go to 400+ mins... I managed to book when there was a fairly short wait, but even after I got in line, I still had to wait like 30+ minutes, and the line was pretty tightly packed (most people don't care enough to keep distance from eachother or wear masks in Denmark.) Hope my explanation makes sense!

This definitely looks scarier than any coaster. I would get on any coaster without hesitation, but not so sure about this one. Parks that appeal to teenagers should definitely add this as an upcharge attraction.

The looks are scarier than the actual coaster lol. It's a really fun experience, but the line can take a while since a lot of people wants to try it and the right arm almost never runs. Even tho it's definitely worth the line

I was in Tivoli 2 days ago, I went on vertigo and it was crazy, Before you go on it you think it’s the end of the world but when you go on it, It’s hilarious, you feel as if you weighed 5x yourself and when you go upside down it’s beautiful

This ride is awesome and insane, but a tip: get on it early, because the capacity is limited and it can get quite a line.

Been to Copenhagen twice. Built up the courage to ride it once in 2017. When I returned to Tivoli Park in 2019, I rode Vertigo a total of 22

Canobie Coaster No! I had a birthday pass which I used 10 times over a 3 week period in Spring 2019, & I was a single rider so got upped in line several times. I did ride it 7 times the first day & one of the same guys was working it the next day & since they needed a single rider for 3 times in a row, instead of asking for a new single rider in line, he let me stay seated w/out getting off for the next 3 rides! 4times in a row! Heaven!

I love this video! But someone I know visited the prototype fury at Luna park said that the positives are sustained like vertigo and the hang time is very common. It’s sketchy feel makes it scarier and more intense than vertigo to me. Also, You can spin nonstop with the positives with the joystick, it really is a send of justice with that stick on the prototype! Nice video, and I’m subscribed.

Tivoli Gardens is my homepark so i've ridden Vertigo dozens of times. The second arm dosen't operate a lot, but it does when there is a long line. Also get to Vertigo at opening and ride it as many times as you can because it can get up to 1-3+ hour line of the capacity - Good video keep up the good work :D

Wow, here I was, a humble Dane, thinking I would never get any rare credits in my back yard :) The ride is amazingly intense with inevitable grey-outs when you hit those sustained high Gs :D

Got the chance to go on Vertigo in 2012. Definitely my favorite ride I've ever done, and I got to do it forwards and backwards. Such a fun ride!

Just saw tonight that it closed. What a shame. The greatest ride I've ever been on. I just have to be greatful I got to ride it repeatedly one day in 2017. The rush was euphoric. I was exhausted that night, having no adrenalin left in my body. RIP Vertigo.

Bummer the second arm rarely runs since it's a capacity nightmare anyway. I love Rutschebanen. Daemonen was fine.

The reason why only one is open often is because of the motor being cleaned and replaced in the middle. Often on Fridays and weekends both of them are open.

Well, unconfirmed reports or not, pulling 3g at the top while it's at max speed makes mathematical sense. 5g at the bottom includes the +1g from normal gravity, so the -1g while upside-down would make that 3g. Incidentally: that is insane, what are you doing Technical Park
