Unbeatable review. I own this bag absolutely feel it is a user friendly pack. But enough about the bag, your review is awesome. I watched the review and learned a few things that I didn't even know and I use it every day. I hit the subscribed button and found the way you reviewed this pack is so informative. You hit point after point explained it and remained neutral and didn't crap on it or act as if the best thing ever like others because of the name. Keep up the excellent work and thank you for helping people not be disappointed or scammed into items that are new to them or being told that it's something more than it is.

That laptop compartment is big bc that’s where we put our pcc gun!!! And you can adjust the height of the pocket so you weapon doesn’t hit the ground when you put your bag down! Most people who use the main compartment for a foldable sbr or pcc and put their laptop in the rear hidden compartment. The off body pistol carry guys use the rear compartment for their pistol and mags and use the main compartment for their laptop. Remember, EVERYTHING about these Vertx bags are designed with the gunners in mind ;) great review brother! Been subscribed for a looooong time now. Love watching and listening to you. God bless

I’ve always admired the gamut 2.0. I was almost willing to spend the 160 just because it looks so damn cool. The only thing that held me back was the lack of organization. I feel like it didn’t have enough little pockets or a slot for my iPad. You’ve help me reinforce my decision on not buying it. Thanks man.

Hey man great review. We like when you lay out your concerns bc not everybody talks about the negatives when doing reviews. I do run the gamut plus and what I found that works is running the water bottle on side of the bag that has the least organization so I can use the other side for more organization. Then I just run the opposite side with nothing in the water bottle sleeve but I pack that side to the brim with edc items. Works for me. I like the original gamut bags better for the most part.

George, at 5:50 when you start talking about the side pockets- having a pocket that only works well as long as the ones around it are empty is a hard fail and you are the ONLY person I've seen mention this! Why do bag makers create pockets that encroach into the space of other pockets?? Maxpedition is the same with my Entity. With some gusseting and blousing of material, or even a zipper that would allow a pocket to expand when needed, it would work a lot better. But yeah how in the world did the designers not see that this pocket will only work as long as those around it are empty.

I know this video is 2 years plus old but I just got this bag and it suits my need but I do completely agree with the complaints you had as well. I do really like it and I think once I start bringing it with me daily and use it some it will grow on me. This is the first time I've delved into this sort of thing so it's a big transition for me but the peace of mind of having a tactical truck bag that doesn't stand out in the day to day is pretty big. I bring a backpack with me everywhere, usually a sling bag, but my life is in a backpack so it made sense for me to transition to one of these.

I wish I had a fix for the water bottle compartment for you. If they added .25 inches even it would be about perfect. @marrngtn4 жыл бұрын
Hmmm......the water bottle pockets can be problematic. Especially when you want to use the organizational features. I’ve got dents in some of my favorite Klean Kanteen from them not staying secured in water bottle pockets. On my Trident 20(Gen 2) I used the skeletonized water bottle holder that attaches to the molle and it’s been perfect. I just don’t carry the bag much because of its size. Too big for going small and too small for going big. But I have digressed. Always have seen reviews on this bag especially for EDC and get home roles. Is the laptop compartment lifted? Or do you need a neoprene sleeve to protect the laptop? ?What are your thoughts of carrying/putting a ballistic panel in that space or even in bags in general? Every couple of months I think about it, and convince myself no but I continue to have the thought. Good review, may have to check out those headphones. Since I can just blame you for the acquisition. 😎 Keep up the great work.

Hey George. Can't thank you enough for all your reviews. I find myself gravitating more toward your assessment of different bags as you and I appear to have similar demands of them (e.g. "The quest for the perfect bag"). I think I've studied your review of the MR 2DAP no less than a dozen times as this is the one I'm gravitating towards. While I would prefer a grey man look, I'm seeing more and more civilians, kids, high school and college students walking around with molle bags nowadays so maybe the stigma of tacticool is starting to give way to overall functionality?? Maybe you can update your thoughts on that. Ontop of that, my current EDC is a mountainsmith 25L that has served me well enough for many years. I'm now finding 25L isn't enough for all my tasks, but 32L in the Rip Ruck might be a bit much for stowing under an airplane seat. I'm finding a big vacuum in the backpack industry between 25L and 32L, which is another reason I'm gravitating toward the 27L of 2DAP (that, along with your glowing review of George's Top Five EDC bags). Please keep it up, bro. Your analyses are thorough, detailed, and reflect our shared features/benefits.
