I hope everyone realizes that Hunter's lawyer is using rationalization as a defense. As in: But Hunter only had the gun for 11 days, and it was never loaded, and he didn't intend to buy it but was pressured into it by an overbearing salesperson. See what I mean? It's the same as if a lawyer for a client accused of assault said, "But my client only stuck the victim 11 times, and my client used an open palm rather than a closed fist, etc. Or, "But my client only drove 11 feet past the stop sign after he ran it, and he was doing the speed limit as he drove through."
