Very Easy Tutorial For Crochet Bootie Sole | Croby Patterns

Hi, everyone! I was working on a new crochet pattern for spring baby booties that will be released very soon and come to the conclusion that there is no need to repeat how to crochet baby sole all the time and edit it over and over again when I am working on a new baby bootie video tutorials if the sole is always the same. So I've decided to make a simple video tutorial and written instructions for how to crochet a baby sole that will be compatible with all the upper parts of my baby shoes that I will release in the future. The size of the sole is around 9.5 cm or 3.75 inches and will be a perfect fit for 0 - 6 month old baby.

You also forgot to mention in your written pattern that at the end of the 2nd round you need to skip the slip stitch and make a new one joining the round with the 1st hdc of the 2nd round. PLEASE FIX YOUR WRITTEN PATTERN I LIKE TO USE BOTH VIDEO TUTORIALS AND WRITTEN PATTERNS BUT I CANT WORK WITH SOMETHING THAT DOESNT MATCH. Hi - I am a complete newbie to crocheting. I only have medium weight acrylic yarn (4). I am using a 3.5 mm hook. When I get to finishing the 2nd set of stitches I'm at 3.75 inches. Should I just stop there with the 34 stitches and move on? Or if I continue will the booty fit a larger baby? Also would it be better to try and use a smaller hook with the heavier weight or will I have a hard time catching the yarn as I stitch with a smaller hook? Worried it will be just way too big. Thanks for any help adjusting to a heavier weight yarn. =)

I have to let you know Doroteja that your written pattern and your video tutorial for the sole dont match. You've skipped some small but important steps at the end of the rounds. In your written pattern you only say to work 2hdc into the next 2 sts in 2nd round instead of starting with ss then chain 1 then work in the same stitch as slip stitch working in the first 2hdc then the next 2hdc in next st. And for the 3rd round you did the same you didn't start with chain 1 and so on to keep the sole more accurate and even. You need to fix your written pattern Please that messed my soles and the finishing of the booties. It really bordered me a lot. Its a great tutorial dont get me wrong, but those simple steps could of helped alot.

Hello I’m a little confused at start of row 3. Are you doing a increase abs a stitch times 2. I read the pattern. I still can’t figure it. I can’t see either. I’m left handed so your fingers are covering g the st. So my question yiu start row3. With 2 in the base. Is that your inc. then 1in the next. The A second increase abs one in the next. Sorry. Just everyone pattern language is very different. Even though it’s standard. Still its written differ and depends on the designer. I thank you.

Hi! I usually start my round 3 in the 2nd st and that is because that helps me to push the entire round a bit towards the right. And helps maintain the straight seam. But this isn't really that important. All it matters is that your stitch count is correct, everything else is for to look good. I recommend checking out the written instructions on my blog. They will help you understand the pattern better. You will also find the link to the instructions on how to read them. 😊

I'm hoping you or someone in this thread can help me. I've been following this video tutorial but after the first set of 6 stitches in the last chain, I count nine stitches before my marker. If I continue with the pattern directions, I'll have two stitches left before the marker, not two. Did i miss something? I've pulled this out, multiple times but I'm really stuck. Please help!

Very confusing especially after the 7 stitch you then say do 2 more in the 7 stitch making a total of 3 half a double crochet in the 7 stitch. Then you say the next st 6 halh a double crochet 6 times in the same which but it look like it's in 6 stitches not one.very confusing
