What an amazing garden centre. Bet the staff have had a tough time keeping all the plants watered during the hot weather as I found it bad enough just keeping up with my own little garden. Like you, I had a break for a few days as it was just unbearable to do any work. Once it cooled down, I had an awful lot of deadheading to do. Took me a few hours but I always find it therapeutic. Love the hot weather but not that hot! Take care my gardening friend.
@TheEnthusiasticGardener2 жыл бұрын
Hello Wendy, I’m like you, I like deadheading and “pottering” it is therapeutic, but I’ve just had enough of watering everything. It’s too much now!! 🤣 but … we had our first rain in about 2 months today at lunchtime. It was so lovely!! 🥰

Definitely understand, it was a lot to take in all at once, sensory overload 😂. Exactly definitely another look around, and at Christmas time, can you imagine 🤩. We have a huge garden center here on Long Island Hicks nursery, and it’s almost 200 years old, same family owners and it’s huge too. Statues, plants, decor. Everything I go there I’m blown away, hubby not so much lol so I go alone😝. Richard Janette needs a small BBQ😆
@TheEnthusiasticGardener2 жыл бұрын
🤣🤣 Elizabeth your garden centre sounds wonderful too. We have a barbecue but it’s enormous just for 2 (2 burgers, 2 sausages and a bit of chicken) so because it’s so big we end up using a little disposable and sitting it on top!! 🤣 madness 🤣

Janette, we have the same thing, a huge grill, it comes in handy when we have friends and family over but when it’s just us, such a waste. We only turn on one side of it in that case, but I definitely understand. I have a few disposable ones for the beach they aren’t bad at all, just don’t use it too much it has charcoal which can cause cancer😞
