Which Performer did you get? Vigorous? LR-S or LR-L I am looking to get one of these but looks like only Vigorous can fit me because my XSeam is short at 37 to 38 inches.

@@lordalfa600 I've got 3.9 K miles on the bike now and have started to feel pretty comfortable on it. My speeds are in the 18 to 22 mph range. But I'm still improving. Baron Low Racer has probably spent years training to get up to those speeds, and done a lot of modifications and bike fitting along the way as well.

The baron was my first lowracer. It doesn't seem very low anymore after having a velokraft vk2 and my current nocom. The baron is my slowest ride these days. I normally ride a quest velo now. Half the power output and double the speed.

@@baronlowracer I've got quite a few velo videos. The later ones also have power and heart rate overlayed on the videos. You can see the difference in initial power applied at the start of a run to later when the vehicle is up to speed

Fantastico! Devo dire la verità: le avevo sempre snobbate, ma in questi giorni, guardando video come questo, le ho radicalmente riconsiderate e mi stanno letteralmente conquistando... Caspita! Sono biciclette eccezionali! Una volta muovo le chiappe da quel di Bientina e ritorno nella mia Calcinaia per vederla, così, tu che hai esperienza, magari saprai dirmi dove posso rivolgermi per acquistarne una. In particolare, io che sono "anzianotto", propenderei per una trike a tre ruote. Sono più stabili per uno come me, che incomincia ad avere qualche problemino di ginocchia. Ne ho viste di favolose. Certo però che costano un botto... Mi sembra che per provare queste ultime, però, si debba viaggiare fino a Cremona o peggio, a Gallarate. P.S. Ci conosciamo, anche se è passato qualche annetto: sono Nicola Mosti. Se puoi, fammi sapere qualcosa...

La mia l'ho presa a Genova da bicishoprecu, te le fanno tranquillamente provare prima, sono eccezionali e disponibilissimi, c'ho passato una mezza giornata con loro. Comunque sono a tua disposizione per qualunque cosa tu voglia sapere e se vuoi vedere la bici o provarla.

Sarei interessato all'acquisto di uno di questi mezzi (ancora sono indeciso fra una recumbent a due ruote ed un trike) ed avrei bisogno di qualche consiglio. Purtroppo, ho visto che quest'anno, probabilmente complice la pandemia - di cui diversi produttori sembrano aver approfittato - i prezzi sono saliti alle stelle e francamente lasciano un po' perplessi, nel senso che in molti casi non danno l'idea di un rapporto onesto con i prodotti in questione... Magari sbaglio io perché non so individuare gli articoli giusti e mi lascio influenzare dalle pubblicità più roboanti... Mah...

I'l stick with my Giro A 20 touring recumbent as it is as fast as I can get it , way more comfortable that what it came with for a seat . I take it all over the place including trails, commuting ,touring and general enjoyment. Yes speed is nice to have and speed with comfort is even better. Seeing as how we have this Corvid-19 virus separating us from friends a good bike ride helps to remove some of the stress. Now go for a ride and experience Spring.

can i ask about your handle bars. they look very aero. are they standard on the baron, and if not where do you get them. do they make the bike even faster or easier /harder to ride. i have a fujin lowracer with a normal tiller with twistgrips (i dont like them) so this might be a good upgrade. cheers

My handlebar is indeed really aero but it's not the standard handlebar or rather it is but I cut it, added the bar ends, put on it the brakes turned towards me, changed the standard shifters with the bar ends shifters and then taped. The bike is faster with this configuration due to the position the body assumes. It is a little bit more difficult to ride but once you get used to it, it will become very very fun.

@@baronlowracer thanks alot. anything to make it more aero is definitely an upgrade although my tilting tiller bar is pretty aero too, essentially tucked in close to my chest. changing subject, the baron is very similar to the fujin and you seem to be in total control. im a bit of a recumbent bike newb (had fujin about a year but not ridden that much) and im struggling to learn how to deal with junctions ie stopping and then starting while turning sharply at right angles into a road. do you have problems too or is it something one can master in time and not be afraid of. the thought of toppling over into the path of a following car is terrifying. ive started doing start turns at the car park specifically to learn how to do junctions safely but unless i can do it without thinking, this will always be a bike for the open road only

@@andy-the-gardener Yes, it's quiet difficult especially in the beginning but you can easily learn. For me right now it’s a bit harder due to the "drop-chain" but I’m looking for speed. My advise is: practice, practice, practice.

Nice bike. The only thing I'd question is the mirror. Don't having it that closer to the center on the tiller make it hard to see? I'd personally opt for a helmet mount myself in that case.

Since my question, I've built a simple recumbent copied from the G Mann videos and today started another, a semi- lowracer type. All on the cheap using scrapyard bike parts and tubing. Sto costruendo una reclinata ma mi spaventa un po’ il fatto che gli automobilisti non ti vedano ... che ne pensi?

E' una delle domande più frequenti. Posso dirti che in realtà non ho mai avuto problemi anzi ho notato che, essendo un elemento "anomalo" in strada, subconsciamente l'attenzione degli automobilisti si desta e mi viene data sempre la precedenza o stanno distanti. Quello che poi mi viene sempre da dire è che comunque siamo noi con le reclinate che bisogna fare attenzione a loro e non aspettarsi da loro attenzione, nel senso che non bisogna mai mettersi in situazioni in cui la nostra visibilità è limitata ed essenzialmente queste sono: passare vicini a fianco delle macchine in coda o stare dietro ad una macchina ferma che potrebbe fare retromarcia e tenere sempre d'occhio le macchine che si stanno immettendo in strada dalle traverse perché spesso guardano distrattamente. Si può aggiungere anche il fatto che l'occhio umano ha un ampio raggio visivo che con un unico sguardo vede sia a terra che di lato e in alto infatti replico sempre dicendo: quando guidi le vedi i tombini, le strisce pedonali, i muretti, le rotonde, i guard rail? Allora vedi anche una reclinata che è molto più alta. Infine direi di usare vestiti e casco con colori sgargianti per maggiore sicurezza oppure se proprio non ti senti sicuro c'è sempre la bandierina (personalmente non la uso e non ho mai avuto problemi, l'ho usata solo sul carrello quando ho avuto necessità di utilizzarlo)

Sul discorso bici strane e attenzione ti di ragione .. se vai sul mio canale vedrai il modello che uso ora è che mi è servito a fare esperienza sulla parte elettrica della bici .. la mia idea è di realizzare una reclinata elettrica... i puristi si scandalizzeranno ma io non mi faccio influenzare dal giudizio altrui .. gran bel mezzo avete realizzato ci vorrà magari un po’ ma chi prova una reclinata non torna indietro...

Ho visto il tuo canale. Mi piace molto la volontà di costruire qualcosa con le proprie mani. Una reclinata elettrica solare mi sembra proprio un'ottima idea anzi mi sembra una direzione che il futuro dovrebbe sondare. Segui la tua ispirazione sempre e non ti curar degli altri se il loro giudizio vola più basso dell'idea da te afferrata...

The maximum speed that I have reached until now is 82 km/h on a short but straight descent. On a right and safe descent I'm sure I can go faster but where I live there isn't.
