Ferrite bead on source pin are also very effective to reduce ringing, put inductance in the source, introducing negative current feedback at very high frequency and control the dv/dt of the mosfet at turn on and turn off. Also work to absorb high frequency like you say in this great video. The picture of the mosfet you show, have bead on source pin....

You will want that bead on the gate drive lead as it stops harmonics that can cause the mosfet to latch up.❤

The switch time shown in your oscilloscope picture is incredibly slow, compared to my experience in DC/DC SMPS (8 ns), but it looks like your circuits are in the AC/DC area, so you're working in KHz rather than MHz.
