I live in Sweden and a 4X4 camper van is both for people who want to go places far from the motorway and also a great vehicle for anywhere suburban or off road in our winter climate. I live in a suburb in a semiterraced house and I can tell you getting out of the parking lot in winter can be a challenge :-)

The truck design is beautiful, sleek on the exterior. Absolutely love the bathroom, genesis use of space. Too much space taken up by the table and two seats both could have been a drop-down table and setting to increase the space, IMO. Thanks for sharing.

That is the most ingenious use of space ever! I just love that shower cabin! They have put everything you need in such a small space, and managed to make it look spacious! Unbelievable! It has some neat ideas. The 2 people I know with the folding sink hate them now. I have seen many "similar" the 1970s campers on undersized toyotas and others had "clam shell" style box. This is really pretty and it would be nice to see it in person. I wonder how it would sound living in it with really nothing to soften the noises. People in the USA say they want one like this but they always tend to sit on the lot and not sell fast. A small company made a plastic type camper shell in the late 1940's from waste products of cheese industry I have only seen one and it was pretty nice for the day but they could not sell them. I would not turn it down if I could try it out for a while though. I am not at all a fan of VW though, they admitted to faking the exhaust tests on purpose knowing it would not matter if they are caught. Thank you Sir. Is there any access between the truck cab and the camper?

Unusually for me I rather liked this, I think it was the clever bathroom and big, numerous windows that I like best. The only drawback appears to be no way to get between the cab and camper without going outside - something I value quite a bit in a campervan.

Fuck the US camper industry. They keep us stuck in the 1980s and keep recycling the same garbage over and over. I saw several videos of 2019 models and they may look updated outside but inside, it might as well be 1982! I would instead pick Canadian manufacturer Roadtrek for a camper van. I love how Roadtrek makes foldout walls to give you a full size shower room using a drain hidden in the center of the kitchen area. It's ingenious how they use space too. The bathroom setup in this SUV reminds me of that brand.

The only thing I really question, and it's for the majority of motorhomes, is why does the bathroom always have a sink when typically the kitchen sink is usually right next to the bathroom? It's not like you need more than one sink in a space that's so small.

Random observation... how interesting that they've put what looks like wood chips all over the floor at the show. Firstly shows off these off-road campers to great effect. So much better than the more clinical shows here in the UK at the NEC etc with carpet or hard floor. Is this a rare thing? Plus, if it's put down on hard floor or grass in the marquee, does someone have to walk around covering up the bare patches that I presume emerge? As for the pick up camper - it's great, but for that much you could perhaps get a large overlander truck with fewer compromises?
