12:12 I am a plumber, and yes it is a code thing! But also, clear primer works, and will show under a UV light. Primer is mainly used to clean the pipe and soften the pipe so the glue can physically bond the plastic together. The glue by itself will work, and leave a cleaner job. But primer is always nice to make sure there are no rocks or debris.

Ryan you’re exactly right about the purple primer. It’s all for the inspector to tell if the joints have been primed or not. Although now the inspectors carry this little flashlight device that has UV light and can spot the clear primer since most guys don’t like bringing the purple inside someone’s nice home because it’s such a liability if you spill that mess everywhere.

You should create a training program to teach Darryl how to be proactive. You are truly a patient man with him. You could include a chapter about fixing up tools before they break or as we called it in the military preventative maintenance. So if he has any down time on the job he can stay busy. Another great video.

Lol a training program isn’t going to help Daryl. Good ethics are something you either have or you don’t, it has to do with what values your parents taught you growing up. Daryl will never change his ways unless something really significant happens in his life that makes him really think that it’s time to change himself. And, no Daryl getting warnings or getting fired isn’t enough to trigger that change. Unfortunately when it comes to blue collar lines of work there’s a guy like Daryl on every crew. It is what it is and to Daryl’s benefit Ryan is very patient with him. Which is a good quality for Ryan to have in his line of work.

Once again Ryan, awesome video. My lawn care/ landscaping work slowed down too. Luckily, I do hme renovation during the winter, to help keep up my finances. But, I'm not gonna lie, by the end of summer/ beginning of fall, I need a break from the heat.
