Hailing from Nanjangud, Nanjunda, or Uncle as he is commonly referred to by his customers, came to Bengaluru from Mysuru with dreams of setting up a food venture after losing his job in an eatery back home. That was 20 years ago, and since then his egg cart, Uncle Egg Rice, seems to have amassed a loyal following for his ‘eggy’ creations, especially the fiery egg rice and creamy egg chilli that I savoured when I visited here on a nippy evening.

One thing i can say is that egg rice runs in bluru’s veins. There are a ton of people who dont eat non veg but only egg. This is one dish that really soothes your soul after eating.

Don't forget the azinomotto (mono sodium glutamate) . Some say it Causes cancer .......don't forget about the cheap adulterated mineral oil that they use . 🤦 .ever been very thirsty after eating those foods? Ever checked urine color after eating tht egg fried ricess? Too many Eggs fkup our kidneys.

@@KK-gc5lj its not proven that msg causes cancer, infact there are more studies that suggest msg is a good thing to use to increase appetite in the elderly people who dont eat well. I agree with the mineral oil(they use palm oil) but having it once or twice a month, there is no harm in it. And if you dont want to eat msg, you might as well leave eating out completely. It is added everywhere, from idly sambar to dosa as well.
