I'm also gonna start a second degree in comp sci right after I graduate this spring! Took me two years to figure out that I was on the wrong degree and then another year to figure out what I wanted to do instead :') gonna be 27 by the time I'm done with the second degree but that's life I guess😅

I can definitely relate to what your going through. My 1st degree was in Accounting and Finance with a minor in Economics. There was a lot of business cases, reading assignments, economic problem sets etc. my 2nd degree is Engineering and it was extremely technical in nature a lot of math which wasn’t a problem, it was the engineering classes and coding that I really had to change my game plan when it came to studying. You can do it, you have the discipline, the challenge is getting it done!

nice job studying between classes, it'll really help u in the long run :) I'm all online now for grad school but I miss going to campus every day for easy study spots, good on u for trying something so far out of ur comfort zone! writing things down, especially by hand, reinforces kinetic and visual learning and maybe auditory if you're the type to think the sentence in your head first. I think it also just demands a lot more of your attention span to write notes out in your own words vs. passively reading/copying someone else's. Good luck with ur semester!

Same, I feel you sm! Except I have no idea what works for me when I am studying. So I just stick to taking notes for everything. My teachers post videos of their lessons on google classroom so I just watch those videos and take notes. It’s helpful watching those videos tho because I can rewind and take better notes. But yeah. I hate it when a subject is so hard that you can even incorporate anything to it 😭😭😭

I´m in my first semester for CS in Germany. Must say it has been quite difficult. German Uni´s are very different and way less social with you going to class then most people go home to study and then at the end you write one big exam that decides your fate. I never liked to really study a lot and never organized my time. I basically butchered my first semester and will probably only pass half of my exams now. Maybe my Professor being so old and having a thick accent so that nobody goes to his classes is a reason 40% fail Math XD

gurrrrl it's so true that different areas are studied differently (????? it's kinda obvious lmao) i studied vet med during the pandemic and just memorizing formulas and anatomy was enough, and now i'm studying for a degree in literature that is oriented to humanities studies and my brain is like ??? btch you can't read 5 books the same way you solved 5 chemistry exercises 😭😭 but i guess until you try you don't know that anyways i was struggling with focus and watching ur video rlly helps me with productivity 🥺💜
