‘Very racist’: Lidia Thorpe’s father ‘disappointed’ in the Senator

Lidia Thorpe’s father Roy Illingworth has slammed his daughter as a “very racist person” and called for the Senator to acknowledge the “white side” of her heritage.
“I’m a bit disappointed in her, the way she has been carrying on lately, after all, she has got an English background, as well as Irish,” he told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
Mr Illingworth said the Senator “never used to be like that” when she was younger and questions whether the power has “gone to her head”.
“She’s still my daughter, I still love her.”

Sounds like she had a better life than me. I was taken from my mother at birth by former forced adoption policies. I was adopted out to abusive adoptive parents and forced to work in charcoal pits from the age of five. We had no electricity, or proper plumbing.. no door on my bedroom, no flooring.. etc if I didn’t work I was made to sleep in the bush alone as a child. The mental abuse was even worse. I am a white Australian and my government refuses to acknowledge or apologise for the crimes committed on me for removing me from a loving mother to abusive adoptive parents.. This man is in denial about who his daughter really is. It's very recent in history to be fair and a lot of Australians like to know who was their first ancestor to move here. I would say most people who have Australian ancestors back that far know whether they have convict or coloniser parents.
