Very Rusty Ammo Can Restoration
I found this ammo can at a local scrap metal recycle shop. It is heavily rusted and pitted on the outer surface.
There are two stampings on the ammo can. One is the yellow painted stamping and another one is the embossed S.C.F. stamp. I did online research and forum discussion to find out what that means.
From the stenciled letters and numbers, the ammo box was used to pack 1650 cartridges of 9mm ball (pistol ammo). Made by WCC, WCC is Western Cartridge Company, an US based ammo manufacturer founded in 1898. And the numbers appear after WCC was decoded as made in August 2015, this is only a guess. Could not get a firm answer on this. Please leave a comment if you have answer on this.
From the embossed S.C.F. stamp, S.C.F. is the manufacturer of the ammo can.
The information was found from online resources and forum discussion. Your feedback and constructive comment are most welcomed for the improvement of my work. Thank you.
Hope you enjoy the video :)

Paint your stencil with a coat of green first, to seal the edges from bleeding. Then spray with yellow. The letters and numbers will be much sharper.

Nice job! I like your philosophy about giving objects a second life, and the Zen of doing this work. Much more gratifying than just buying a new one. What are the brushes you used? Are they brass? Bronze? They seem to cut quite well. Personally, I would have done a weak acid dip to remove rust deep in the pits, and finished with a paint like Aervoe or Gillespie Coatings, since they have true mil-spec colors. Still, an outstanding job. Keep it up.

I think I would of just bought a new one for $15 instead of spending several hours of labor on that can.

Do you have a problem with dialogue or your going to be like every person who has a youtube channel that doesn't speak, I don't like subtitles, if your not deaf than talk, by the way nice job and use liquid wrench lubrication for rusty everything

Don't take it wrongly. I don't speak because i prefer 'Do the talk'.. i watched youtube a lot as well and sometimes people just talked too much instead of showing the work, and it annoys me sometimes when people purposely creates some memes..so that's just my preferences 😊 thanks for the comment😁
