I feel your pain. I lost a dog I dearly loved when I was a young man. She lived with us for many years and literaly protected my brothers and me on many occasions. More than 40 years later, I still mourn her death. Especially because she died a needlessly miserable death at the hands of some family members. I still feel guilty and remorseful for not having done more to save her, one of my dearest childhood friends... Even at this advancing age of my life, I still get a lump in my throat whenever I think of her.

We got a new cat but we are keeping her indoors because we are afraid we will lose her too since we now have some foxes in the area. I like to see your cows grazing.
