I believe that people as wise as him become one with their surroundings and fear nothing. It’s a strange phenomenon which actually made me interested in religion in the first place.

How can you have difficulty understanding the New testament? How is that even possible? So he decided to snub the Old Testament, rejects Jesus and instead follows the Jewish Tanakh. -From the same people that condemned jesus and currently still despise him today... Well done.

@@terryh4987 It was more the Jewish elite who feared the truth in the teachings of Jesus who called for his execution, which was the main reason why he came in the first place. I doubt the Jewish man who learned Hebrew in order to understand the Hebrew texts could really point out many differences in meanings between the originals and the translations as I don't believe God would allow it, he's using the same tired explanation Muslims give when they argue the Koran.

This is end of days stuff Charlie. I'm a 62 years old ex serviceman now and I'm honestly ashamed at what my once proud country has became. No morals ,no values ,thieving ,assaults in broad daylight and people who shouldn't be allowed to walk the streets. It's like being in the middle of an asylum. Absolutely heart breaking to think how many brave young men gave their tomorrow's in two world wars for this .They must be turning in their graves . God save us all ..

Biblically speaking, thats not how Jesus tells us to preach the Word. In fact, the Bible has many very eccentric preachers. Some were soft spoken and patient, others lived in the wild using feices to cook their food naked to get the Truth though. Jesus also tells us to loudly preach the good word from the rooftops. The point is, there isn't one way to preach thats the correct way. As so long as you are preaching the truth as the Bible states it.

4000 years ago Zoroastrians where the first to worship a single God and is said all other monotheistic religions stem from them. They still exist in Ethiopia were they tend the sacred flame. I wonder if this is far back enough for our Jewish friend. Abraham founded Judaism approximately 200yrs after Zoroastrianism.

A lot of Mancs haven't got a clue. They really need to have a look around their own city. It's an absolute mess. For the record, a relative of mine is from north Manchester and has policed both cities in his police career. He always maintains that Manchester is far worse to police, with more violence and more criminality. Liverpool is a much nicer place to live or to visit. I'm surprised the Manchester tourist board hasn't bumped Charlie off by now for showing the reality of what Manchester is.

I remember a time when a good old punch up meant saying " hold my beer ", but in 2024 it's more like " hold my crack pipe & tin foil ". It says something about us as a Christian society when we cannot even follow 1 of the 10 Commandments in our daily life, so hats off for Orthodox Jews who follow the 613 Commandments to the letter in daily life.

Learning the original language is great and all but you're still dependant on your teachers. Theres no way to get the full message unless we were there. Translations come in many different forms, but the important thing is the message that they share, which in many jewish and christian religious texts is quite consistent.

100% atheist here, but the Jewish lad you were speaking to is someone I could have a discussion with. No hysteria, no judgement, just a bloke who has faith and I'm totally fine with that. I think having faith is better than having a religion, because it becomes more a personal relationship with your creator rather than just doctrine and dogma. As for Manchester, we ll it's just like any other big city now. Glasgow is exactly the same Charlie, full of drunks, crackheads, beggars (the professional variety) and people just looking to start trouble. We are living with the consequences of not punishing or disciplining people when they do wrong.
