For any dollar general shoppers. Big ad this week. Folgers and maxwell house cannisters are 2 for 12. Soda -- crush, mug, Schweppes are 5 for 5 on 2 liter. They are running one day specials each day in december. Today its christmas mugs for 1$. Another day is paper plates, bacon 3$ on another, glass candles 2$. 10$ off 40$ on Saturday. Check your ad, if you like to shop there.

I work at Dollar General 5 days a week and the sales are just a scam prices are way too high sale price getting like 25 cents off. When you get up to the cash register and the total and the sales taxes you didn't not saved anything at all. Trust me I've been trying to get sales then I get to the checkout the sales tax I didn't save a damn cent ripoff I just spent extra added the sales tax.😮 That Saturday coupon spend $25 and over get $5.00 off that's another rip-off can you add the sales tax and you haven't saved anything There's been dog and cat food on sale have and then I have the $5 off coupon then when I get to the checkout I didn't save a damn thing because the sales tax is so damn high.😮 So disappointed I've done that twice in a row thinking I was going to save something and I didn't.Doller General is a scam ...

I paid $7.96 for the 2 lbs of strawberries at Sam's here in Wichita yesterday. I was hesitant to get them, because the strawberries at Aldi haven't had much flavor lately. THESE, however, are fabulous! Best I've had in a long time!

We quit using beef in veggie soup. Instead, we use hamburger. We also switched from using tomato sauce or paste to a beef based soup boullion in the jar. So much better and cheaper.

I watched the original home alone movie tonight, came out in 1990. I noticed in the scene where Kevin is walking through the grocery store alone, pushing the cart, the price tag on the shelf , under the gallon of milk was $1.14. Lets just say a gallon of milk today is 4.00/gallon (I know that can be give or take) that would indicate that over 34 years, milk has only gone up in price about .08 cents/year, if you use those numbers. That is pretty good. In 1990, I made $3.80 / hour, now I make more than $80.00 an hour. Lol. Great movie, IMO.
