I wonder if there are any Jaaksi cameras lying on the bottom of some lake somewhere around your home? 😉

Love your wooden tripod. I have one just like it and it has served me well for the last 15 years. Had to order it from Germany since it wasn’t available in the U.S. Great video as always.

Another fine set of images out on the water … thanks! The shapes and texture of the wake surrounded by a smooth sea surface are magical. You’re definitely pushing the boundaries of nautical photography … especially the picture looking forward with the throttle wide open … and nobody at the helm! 📷🚤🙂 PS: Perfect piano accompaniment as always!

Very nice video. Makes me want to go for a stroll with my ND filters. :) Regarding the blurriness of the overexposed pictures, I wonder whether this is due to the high blue/UV sensitivity of the film. Just as the plane of focus of a lens shifts for the long wavelengths of infrared light, I guess the same is true for the shorter wavelengths of UV light, unless the lens was specifically designed with extended bandwidth in mind.

Thanks thanks. Interesting this wavelength theory of yours. Could be ....

It's great to watch you having so much fun, maybe it's the "Rodinal phase" you're in. Maybe I should try Rodinal? I in my XTOL phase these days, but it doesn't seem to be as much fun as Rodinal, or maybe I just need to stop watching the news for a while.

Again very interesting & good photographs! I use the Arsat 30mm F3.5 Fisheye lens on my Pentax 645 with an adapter from the Ukraine & really like the results.

Yeah it’s a great lens. To my understanding Arsat is just a newly manufactured version of Zodiak.

I'm thinking of your adventure with 127 backing paper and 35 mm film. Would the backing paper provide the same effect as the antilation (?) layer ? Sorry I'm late to this. Great video as always.
@ShootOnFilm
@ShootOnFilm 7 ай бұрын
No it doesn't. The backing paper prevents light from behind. The anti-halation layer from within the film. Thanks for watching :-)

diffraction oft light with a very small aperture and long exposure. Could it be the reason for the pics "out of focus??"
@ShootOnFilm
@ShootOnFilm 7 ай бұрын
Hmm -- undoubtedly possible, but with F22, I don't think so. I get more focused pictures with minutes exposure with my pinhole camera F160 :-) instagram.com/p/C5vziaRgJ7x/

Wow I never knew there are 5 iso film stocks! I loved the outcome, but really loved the long exposure of the bow of your boat sharp and the bridge blurred. Thanks for a great video and now I am wondering how I can make a similar picture, but without a boat haha

Those overexposed photos have kind of a pinhole look with the slight fuzziness. Interesting. My favorite films are ortho or blue sensitive, with a strong nod towards IR as well. Your use of long exposures also gives a view of the world that we don't see with the naked eye. There's a lot to think about. :)

@@ShootOnFilm must be something. an nd used for Imax in a matte box. 100 x more expensive as the whole set. or Lee Filter roll nd. I have the same setup and will try that at work next week

@@noudsmeets Awesome. I'd be very interested in putting a filter on this. Also, btw, the filter at the rear end of the lens is absolutely stupid. Say, you had an ND 1000 that you cannot see through. In a typical case, I would first compose my picture on a tripod and then put the filter on. Here, you'd need to remove the lens to add the filter after initial composition. :-)

Upeita kuvia, taas kerran.
