Love star wars. They filmed Return of the Jedi up here where I live all the Redwood scenes and the outdoor scenes in the back bunker stuff like that. The Ewoks would go eat at my mom's little Snack Shack. Went up to where they were filming the day after they left. Was a bunker scene was filmed and stuff. Wow, good memories.

Kotor #31 is the first time that Squint uses the alias 'Malak'. He later becomes Darth Malak, Revan's apprentice, and eventually the big bad of the Kotor video game. People refer to it as the 1st Malak a lot. I'd say it is similar to if a super hero had an appearance not in costume and then later showed up on costume. For Legacy #16, there were tons of rumors that there was an upcoming project that would include Darth Krayt, but it came out that the project was either cancelled or the idea got nixed. So that book was probably worth a good deal more 6 months or so ago.

I have a collection of Knights of the old Republic 1-9 Crimson Empire 1,2,6 Shadows of the Empire #1 Legacy 0-4 Rebellion 0-5, 7 Dark empire #3 Empire #13 Republic #76 Which of these would be best to get graded and is is it worth sending a Jedi Mace Windu to get graded if it might be under an 8.0

I just got a Clone Wars #1 back at a 9.6. Pretty happy with it. I love Star Wars but it’s probably going to be a sell to help fund other things. When do you think would be a good time to sell? Leading up to the show or after it’s out?
@eljeffe74722 жыл бұрын
Always better to sell immediately after a major announcement but before the show. Ahsoka Tano, though, that's a different thing. She's in a class all by herself. She's also a good guy and spec'ing on good guys long term is usually better. Good guys will get price bumps after the show and if the show is well-received. I expect Ahsoka to be multiple seasons so your long-term spec is to just hold or sell at the peaks and buy again at the valleys. I expect to see her in 3rd season of Madalorian so there's going to be multiple price bumps across different shows. If you can wait till September when Disney has their D23 show, see what announcements come out. If there's anything Ahsoka, prices will go up. If you need to sell now, don't wait till then. The Ahsoka Tano show won't release until 2023. If you are on Instagram and can sell it there, I've noticed that sellers sell at the same prices as ebay which means they, and not ebay, are pocketing the ebay fees. Otherwise, ebay is your best bet. And sell the book private-seller to private-seller. If you have other sorta valuable books you can sell, keep your Ahsoka.

@@eljeffe7472 thank you so much for the information! I don’t mind waiting on it. Then I can enjoy owning it for a while. I’ve also wondered real long term about it. I wonder what it might be in 10-20 years.

@@plpiro this is best advice i've gotten...hold the gold and silver age books and sell everything else. But as I mentioned, Ahsoka is different. She is modern age but she is a character I would rank up there with Miles Morales for popularity. And Ahsoka has already been in a tv show and is slated for more. I could see her in a movie. I have the same book you have also in a 9.6. I also have a 9.2 of the Feloni variant. I will probably buy more but I will wait until the heat has died down. If I can buy a newsstand version, I will do that. Newsstand Dark Horse Star Wars is crazy valuable. If you're looking to buy, do so on the auctions unless you see a screaming buy-it-now deal. Or low-ball an Instagram or ebay seller who may be motivated to sell.

@@eljeffe7472 Makes great sense. I’m definitely going to hold for a while and hunt for more. This one in particular I found at a used book store a little over a year ago for $12. I was shocked and shocked that it got a 9.6.

I've been thinking about getting myself a CGC subscription to get portions of my collection graded. What kind of pricing are you looking at for bulk gradings like this?? i have around 75-100 books i'd really like to get slabbed.
@VeryGaryComics2 жыл бұрын
They don't really discount for bulk grading. Prices are determined by the tier and not the quantity.

Thank you for the response. I realized after I left that comment that with a little digging this info was probably readily available. Lol

The cover to Clone Wars #1 is by Dave Filoni and is the only redeeming quality of that book. Interior art is horrible. Looks great encapsulated.
