Sometimes people get old and sick, sometimes it's financial situations that become an unthinkable burden, sometimes it's the feeling of being all aline with no one to turn to for help or guidance or friendship. Drugs and alcohol become best friends and then hope is lost. Despair sets in and they just don't care anymore. It's sad. You're an angel. Thank you for all you do to help. Non judgementally.

You’re right. Unless the people who live there are so disabled they should be in a nursing home, there’s no excuse for having a yard full of garbage. The wine bottle was from 2018. SIX years ago! The people were that sick and disabled six years ago?! Worthless and lazy would be my assessment.

Im only 69, but have had lawn service for over 20 years. Sometimes you just can't do it all. Not visible, but i am handicapped. Stage 3 kidney disease, diabetic, and mod to severe arthritis in my spine. I couldn't even start the mower at this stage. But i have the money to pay for services, house is paid for, and plenty to eat. I am blessed beyond measure.

Everyone has a story. I've always been amazed how people are so quick to judge. I was a single mom of three small children and had to work full time. Unfortunately the yard was last on my list. I tried on weekends but one adult can do so much. The very fact someone hired this guy to clean up their lawn shows that they care.

I've known so many people that live like this mess and justify it when I know they are capable of more. While mental health can play a role and sometimes there are exceptions, most of the time people just make excuses.

I think people just become overwhelmed- and do t know how to do this kind of work- and then they give up. Not everyone has the ability to “see” it. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. Who knows- the homeowner could a true visionary- in another field. As a community- if everyone was just good at being an incredible landscape architect- we would just have a bunch of beautiful landscapes- and no cures for cancer. Don’t decide- who people- are, or what they’re going through.

I have been and my fam thats just find it relaxing to see transformation of each and every yard they get to clean. Having nothing to do any with the cleaning and just watching it transform and see it nice and tidy is a delight by just watching. Plus it helps us with keeping our own cleaning and tidying at home (watching lots from hoarders, yard cleaning, minimalism and the likes). We try not to judge with what was the issue why their places become such but we understand that there are some reasons behind it all, some maybe sickness and family stuff and other contributing factors, i am just glad the homeowner got help and can start anew with all the beauty of having a tidy yard. 💕💕💕

I have almost two acres in the middle of the city. My granddad bought the land in 1948 (when it was all farmland around here) and he built the house I have lived in for almost 30 years. Four generations of my family have lived here. My granddad even had a small orchard here for years. Now it’s just grass with big oaks. I used to cut the yard with a beast of a (self-propelled) push mower. It’s a Honda and can easily chew up tall wet grass and even small stumps. I just had to sharpen the blade every now and then. Never once bent the crankshaft or a blade. It devoured privet. I love that mower. Expensive, but totally worth it. I also cleaned up the leaves in winter. My son helped from about age 4 to age 15, when I finally hired a guy to do it for us. The front yard alone fills over a hundred 39 gallon leaf bags. I would let them ALL fall before picking any of them up, which is usually sometime in January/February here. They don’t even start falling until November now. (When I was a kid, some 40+ years ago, I remember trick-or-treating after dark. We would be running through thick leaves, while being surrounded by completely bare trees. And it was cold. Now, kids trick-or-treat during daylight hours, with green trees and temps in the 80’s. Halloween was more creepy and fun back then, imo.) Anyway…lol I love using my big backpack blower. The engine noise makes me just peacefully zone out. I hated having to stop to refill the gas. Lol It was exhausting and I ended up sore for a couple of days, but I really enjoyed doing yard work before my health tanked. Unfortunately, I’m disabled now, so I’m not able to do much anymore. Too much pain and not enough energy. But my two yard guys can get it done in a couple of hours, whereas it took me and my son a couple of days. Lol The yard guys have a riding mower with a HUGE deck. And they have a giant trailer and leaf vacuum. No bagging for them! On occasion, I still get the blower out in the fall/winter and blow the street, driveway, edges of my yard, and maybe the deck. Makes it look a little neater until the leaves get picked up. Not really necessary, since the yard guys pick them up every two weeks. But I still enjoy doing it. 😊 Thank you for coming to my nostalgic TED talk titled “Things you think about when you approach your 50th birthday.” 😂 But seriously, sorry about the length. TL;DR: Never mind. Lol

Never in my life would I have thought that under the grass in the back yard there would be paving all over the area!!! You are perfect! The difference is therefore extremely striking. It's a joy. Now the owner has a pretty cozy backyard there compared to the mess before. I get the feeling that no one lives in that house yet? I was a single mom with 2 kids. I mowed my lawn every Friday after work, cleaned my house on Saturday and groc shopped usually late that night. Still managed laundry inbetween. Kids were 10 and 12. It was tough but I still managed.
