I have been on Quantum twice and loved it both times. The cabins are the best I have sailed on. The best buffet on any ship out of 21 cruises.

Royal Caribbean has made it virtually impossible for me to venture out too much since we’ve made Diamond status. 8 drinks a day for two of us (56 drinks total on a 7 night 🤪) is a perk worth approx $800+ By next year we will be Diamond Plus. That’s 10 drinks a day. 70 drinks on a 7 night cruise is a perk worth over $1,000 !!! It is what it is.

Helicopter. You kept saying anthem when you meant Quantum LOL. For me Quantum ports in my home town of Brisbane for our summer months and for the past year it has not been the best. Lots of Brocken parts. North Star has not worked in over 12 months. Thank god for dry dock in November

Where I live is a very high crime area so we always have helicopters flying over. There's even a dedicated Facebook page for the police helicopter flight path. If we don't have our windows rattled for a couple of days we wonder why 😂

Helicopter! The 9-month world Cruise was a huge deal! I'm not sure how you missed it. It was wonderful watching creators go around the world and talking about their experiences. Living Phase 2 was one of my favorite and they are still producing content even though the cruise is over. You need to check them out

Our Allure cruise 6 months was askew..,food,crew,etc. THIS mediterranean cruise on VOYAGER was wonderful. Food was great. Music all the time in the lobby. Wonderful staff. It was like we were on different cruise lines. We loved the smaller ship!!!

My first cruise was on Legend of the Seas back when I was way younger. Glad to hear the ship still lives in others memories like it does mine... Back in those days they actually had a real 🚁(HELICOPTER) pad on the bow, and not just a point to winch either cargo or a person in medical distress from the ship...

Helicopters flying by in Skagway. I just disembarked Quantum OTS last week on an Alaska cruise. Only one bad thing from the MDR for me. On Lobster night half the people in our group had under cooked lobsters. Everything else was great! Ship is going in for dry dock refurbishment in just over a month.

I dunno but the hospital food I had when I was there was pretty damn good! The menu looked like a restaurant menu and I was amazed! So I guess it depends on which one you're at.

You seem to be the person that is mixed up as you mention the Quantum of the Seas as the worst ship and then keep referring to it as the Anthem of the Seas. However, you have created a 16 minute long video about "Royal Caribbean's Worst Ship" but you make no mention of having sailed on this ship yourself. You just keep reading reviews posted by other people. Any of us can look at Cruise Critic and read those reviews ourselves. What is the point of your video where you just tell us what other people have said about a particular subject.

World cruises are definitely a thing they're a $hundred thousand dollar thing for 2. Princess, Silversea, Crystal. & more do them on ballpark range. $16,000-$800,000.00 probably get a great year long cruise for a cool million.

I totally agree. I like surprises when I get on my cruise ship. I don’t want them to all look alike. You can maintain quality but still give us some variety. Now I’m going to get in my HELICOPTER and fly away. Love your videos.

I went on the Icon and the Symphony this past May and we only are in the dining room once. We actually preferred the buffet and some of the included options. Maybe Royal could HELICOPTER in more options for people.

We do the same. Make pizza crust. My husband found a recipe for a chicken Caesar pizza. One of our favs. If we get frozen I can’t recall the brand but it’s a pepperoni on Italian bread. I can’t believe the reviews about RCL food. It’s always been good. We don’t do the buffet but the MDR. Didn’t hear it. But “helicopter” hahaha your comment about the sofa was funny.

Just got off Radiance of the Seas on 9-13-24 (Vancouver to Seward). The food in the MDR was absolutely horrible- we did not have a good meal in the Main Dining Room at all. I ordered chicken Parmesan and it was a round chicken patty with spaghetti noodles and watered down tomato sauce or juice. The Chinese food was terrible in Asian night and the tortellini was very funky and mushy. I’m hoping it was a supplier issue because usually the food on RC MDR is usually very good.

To me, the worst RCL ship we've been on is Navigator. Last year it was chartered by Atlantis Events from LA down Mexico's west coast. The Crew were fabulous, but the food? Below average, especially in the (over rated) upcharge venues. "Chops" and "Jamie's Italian". The "Italian" was by far worst, avoid!! But not helicopters.

I literally just finished a week long cruise to Alaska on Quantum from the 16th - 23rd of September and have some thoughts on this. From a service standpoint, everyone we came into contact with was fantastic. First rate service. As for the ship itself, it is in DESPERATE need of refreshing and understand it is going into drydock for a month very soon in Singapore. The ship had a ‘run down’ feel to it, and paying close attention to the interior you could see wear and tear nearly everywhere you looked, from furniture to worn out uniforms worn by the staff members in high contact areas (waiters in the dining room). Overall, I would say, many of the items should have been addressed a while ago. VERY poor paint, rust, and overall it looked worn down high isn’t something one would expect from Royal Caribbean. It’s very easy to see how one might rate it poorly because of its ‘tired state’ but must end on a positive note. Again, the crew as amazing and found the food, entertainment and overall experience enjoyable.

Don't like mega ships. Long time member of Cruise Critic. Sometimes it was so crowded we put stuff on trays on my wife's walker then take it to our stateroom. The food on our RCCL cruise was pretty bad. RCCL failed to bring room service within the time period that they themselves set. When I called to complain they thought it was funny. I didn't. $499 for the cruise, but, what about the cost you incur getting to and from the port?

Was curious if it was going to be Quantum. I was on the ship in May for an Alaskan cruise. I didn't think the ship itself was bad, but we booked a Grand Suite so we had access to the Coastal Kitchen instead of doing an UDP. Coastal Kitchen was AWFUL. We ate there twice and then never went back again, it was so terrible. Had a crap steak on the first night. Second night I ordered the short rib and it was so tough, it was impossible to cut into it. We gave up, walked out and went to the Windjammer, just so we could eat something. The service throughout the ship was wonderful, but man, that food...

Definitely agree with you about the cloning but on Carnival. Same is boring and I want the excitement of a unique ship and way different experience from ship to ship. Also prefer smaller ships for regular trips with a Mega ship thown in here and there. Unfortunately looks like mega ships is what they tink we all want or they don't care because more people more money... hum..

I’m surprised that you have not heard of the ultimate world Cruise. There was a whole TikTok section on this. It was both hilarious and sobering for the issues. People were saying they were experiencing on the ultimate world cruise. We loved the anthem of the seas when we last cruised. You are correct the ship should match the type of cruiser you are. Sometimes people forget that going to the buffet. Everyone tries to go at the same time. This is problematic because there are only so many tables available at a time. And congregating and just chilling out in the wind jammer during busy times is not good. Morgan, you’re saying Caribbean wrong it’s pronounced Caribbean. Have you had any excursions with helicopters in the Caribbean? They are pretty fun, especially the submarine and helicopter tours.

Just got off the Quantum 2 weeks ago. It was a great trip to Alaska. I thought the Windjammer was great food. Dining room was good, not great. But (gasp), I don’t go on a cruise for the food. Food was similar to the Explorer of the Seas in June. I didn’t like that there were not many windows.

I was looking into a Quantum of the Seas cruise from Seattle, Washington, to Alaska and back. I thought the ship looked very nice, but I may look into eating at the specialty restaurants instead of the buffet or main dining room. I heard there is an excursion for a helicopter ride in Alaska.

Helicopter and Heggies frozen pizza Independence of the Seas so far has been my worst cruise don’t know what was happening but we were treated so rude mostly in the MDR but Symphony of the Seas was fantastic one of the best MDR experiences ever. Great wait staff had my Autistic grandson with us and they went above and beyond to make his experience amazing.

I was just on the Quantum in April on a repositioning cruise from Austrian to Hawaii. Not my favorite ship but not bad, I think it will be better after it's upgraded. The staff and food were excellent on that cruise. The problem is very limited dining options for a ship of this size and all of the China cruise market venues need to be torn out. There are way more dining options on an old Carnival Conquest class. I absolutely hated the Brilliance of the seas, very limited dining options, broken toilet in out cabin. I did a Panama canal full transit and couldn't wait to get off of that tug boat and I would make it a point to never sail on it again. The new pushy attitude with the Royal cruise survey makes me want to abandon the line all together.

I enjoyed the Quantum of the Seas. It's hard to believe it's the worst rated. How did you miss the world cruise that just ended ? Tic toc had lots of made-up drama when it started last December. The helicopter deck is supposed to be a good spot for sail away.

I didn’t find the Key to be bad either. But I also didn’t take a helicopter ride any of the glaciers either. *wink*wink*

Really, the food on Royals older ships is pretty meh but their Quantum class is their best non-Icon class. Too bad it's only the Voyager class where the helicopter pad is open.

I was on the Quantum in June. Yeah, the food wasn't fabulous I will agree. I just thought it was a weird ship and seemed small to me. Yes, they made the announcement to please leave if you are done but no one was asked to leave before they were done. I will agree the pizza isn't good.

I think it is the age mostly. I agree the food quality has fallen a bit and this is my experience with the Anthem and the Quantum is older. I still love the Anthem and it will forever have a place in my heart as my first cruise ship and our belated honeymoon ship. Maybe they need more helicopter rides.

Celebrity of the Seas? Maybe because now you can use your RCCL Crown and Anchor status points on Celebrity and Silver Sea and vice versa. You have to register the C&A points with Celebrity, etc to get status. I wonder how bad the food really is on Quantum class ships? Heli-cop-terrible food? Maybe that would keep me from overeating on a cruise.

Hey Morgan. You don't know me, but you mentioned Hamburg (edit, Germany right?? Because I see Hamburg Township in FL?) and my ears pricked up! This post isn't about cruising per se, but about traveling. And I want to visit Hamburg for the HUGE model railroad exhibit, the "Minatur Wunderland". Admission price, about €18-20. Looks fantastic! I'm retired airline in LA, with many hobbies. Model railroading is just one. Oh, and cruising too😃🌈

I know they’re both the same class of ship, but Quantum is the one with the low rating. … Having said that, I was on Quantum one year ago and I thought the food was the same as all other Royal ships.
