I love the Sea Cruisers! They actually don't edit and post their cruise videos until sometimes months after they have returned from their cruises. Which is great because it allows them the time to edit and then post them on a regular schedule that they decide on.

My worst cruise experience was on the Visions of the Seas. The Vision is one of the smallest ships from Royal Caribbean. I found this great deal on a "deal website" and decided to lift the spirits of a friend who was having (still is) a terrible life - saying thank you for just being a friend. OY! The ship was in SUCH disrepair. The crew and entertainers seemed to barely be going through the motions. The activities were limited compared to what we were used to on the same fleet. The food (outside of the dining room and buffet... but you know there is always food on deck and such)was so sparse and so hidden that when people DID find it the line was long (only one guy working hard to dish up the day's leftovers), filled with complaining passengers, and the whispers of "keep this place a secret or none of us will get any!"(which sounds silly - but when you have been on other cruises and you have become accustomed to places that will serve late night entrees to those who can't get themselves to eat early dinners, it was the only food left to eat until breakfast). The whole experience was really aggravating ESPECIALLY when you were trying to give a deserving person a trip of a lifetime. I spent so much time saying - ""I swear. It's usually SOOO much better than this!!" - yes, yes - we did get a deal. But deal or not, it was still pricey enough. BE WARNED - not all ships within the same fleet are equal (just minus the size difference). You cruise at the bottom of the fleet - and you WILL get burned.

Like I ranted the other day, some people started out fresh and have turned into a business selling group cruises, t shirts, lanyards through their channel. It turned into a money grab putting vlogs up every day in order to earn money on You Tube. Sad but true. You are so casual with your presentation and no fancy green screen affects etc . I believe in content not how flashy your website is. And yes their are bad cruises. At least you have the guts to say it was bad and why it was. Keep it up Morgan and keep them coming.

We cancelled Pullmantur Monarch cruise because someone told us to think of a cruise as we would a hotel. If we look at the ship as our hotel then ask ourselves will we enjoy staying there no matter the ports of call.....we are now booked on the Jewel of the Seas out of San Juan Puerto Rico.

Oh wow! I couldn't agree more about MSC! MSC is free for kids apparently, but I don't need the headache of terrible check-in, thoroughly disorganised shore excursions, wildly variable service (from overly flirty waiters to possibly the rudest, most disinterested boutique personnel I have ever encountered)... and especially with kids in tow. We still loved our cruise experience (because we love cruising and the itinerary was great) and as we hadn't travelled with Royal yet at the time, we thought the entertainment was ok. The food we had was great and I really enjoyed the spa... but the disorganisation and the sometimes incredibly poor service were enough that my parents refuse to ever travel with MSC again (no matter how good the prices are). Oh, and we did the Greek Islands and both Santorini and Corfu were out of control! I'm amazed anyone got back on board.

Hey Morgan! Michelle and Darel here...and as you know we were just on the Divina when we bumped into each other in San Juan! And MSC has improved a bit since....but not by much! The food and entertainment were big misses for us too. Also the hot tubs weren't hot! The only real huge plus was the included (And ones you can buy) drink vouchers that the other lines don't do. Otherwise yes the interior design was beautiful, especially the Swarovski crystal staircase, and the cabin was great - but that's about it!

I've been on several cruises, over the years, and we love Royal Caribbeans, Oasis class ships. We've done Allure twice and will be cruising Harmony, in October. There is so much to do and it never feels like there are 6k passengers. The first time we were on Allure, I asked if the ship was at full capacity and she said yes. Plus, what other cruise shop has balcony cabins over a boardwalk? It's so amazing.

I feel the same way. I've sailed on 3 Royal Caribbean and 1 carnival. Then unfortunately the MSC Divina. It was by far the worst service and food I've experienced. The entertainment wasn't anything to talk about either.

Morgan, I've watched your videos for some time now, and enjoy hearing your views and perspectives. I have done many cruises across several cruise lines. You asked if any of us have cruised on MSC, and what our impressions were. In 2017, I did a western Med. cruise on the relatively new (at the time) MSC Meraviglia. I enjoyed the beautiful ship and amenities very much. My only issue was the very average quality of food served. Also, it high-lighted some of the main differences between American-style and European-style cruising for me.

I can say my most uncomfortable cruise was on a 4-masted sailing ship in the Caribbean. Everything is wood so no comfortable place to sit, thin mats to sit/lay on the deck and when under way the ship tilts due the sails. But on the plus side, the cabin I was in was one of three that had hot water all the time since we were next to the boiler that provides hot water for the kitchen. Must be why the Captains Quarters were there and one of the three cabins.....LOL

Thanks for the info - I almost booked on the MSC Divina (and now I won't)!! Have you ever cruised on Princess?? I love Princess cruising! For me - the best of everything. Food, entertainment, service, itineraries, and that old world feel of cruising - with plenty to do to keep you busy (or at least to keep me busy)!! I can't imagine a cruise ship buffet that runs out of food?? I had one experience with Holland America when I didn't think the service was great, but we were on the ship for the last cruise of the season in Alaska (I think many of the crew had already been transferred to other ships). The whole crew was from Bali (I think). They even had as entertainment, the Balinese talent show! I was in a nice suite (and I did love the concierge lounge), but I had to call every evening - for the first 3 nights, for the cabin steward to open the sofa bed for me!! On the plus side - I was able to get my laundry done by the ship's laundry service, and my clothes came back beautifully "wrapped". My undies and small things were delivered in a wicker basket, wrapped in tissue paper - looked like a present (and the other garments were on hangers and covered)!! I guess that is a nice perk of the "suite life"! The ship was midsize - and they did have other entertainment (even a magician with the cutest little white dog) - the food was excellent, but we were supposed to go to Sitka and due to bad weather, that was cancelled - but they gave us a whole day in Victoria, BC (which was lovely)!! Crossing MSC off of my list! I guess that's why their cruises are so inexpensive!!

Very similar to my experience on Costa. Halfway through our cruise they ran out of romaine/lettuce-really! Like you, other Italian food items were bland. Ordered a Martini also, gave the waiter detailed instructions, received a drink adorned with 4 maraschino cherries! Just about fell out! Met fellow cruisers who had been on Costa 20 times, I remarked that they must really like Costa. They replied, "No, it's just cheap..." I guess that sums it up-some are only concerned about the price. Pretty sad.....

I completely agree... Went on MSC Divina earlier this year and I have to say it was one of my worst cruise experience thus far. Room was dirty, found a dirty sock on the floor from the previous guest upon arrival, balcony had clipped nails everywhere. Housekeeping was very inconsistent, our hand towel kept on going missing (he probably forgot to replace it). Food at the buffet had limited selection and most food items were barely warm. Buffet area always feels so crowded. Main dining room food was lacking flavour and again, food was barely warm. We had to constantly wave down our waiter to bring us water refills or just to get bread and butter. One time we ordered steak and everyone's steak order came out wrong, I ordered medium and it was well done. I even had food poisoning episode after eating a raw fish appetizer. Entertainment on board was very boring, there isn't much to do during the day and evening shows were very standard. Went on MSC because of the price, but I guess you really get what you paid for.

great story thank you. I was on the MSC Divina 2016 and we were unable to get a pack of water for our room. we tried the room sturt, room service, and the customer service counter. we ended up just getting 2 big bottles a night and even the bars did not want to sell us more than 1 a few times.

Never been on an MSC ship but my wife is going on one this fall with her mother. Will be interesting to hear what she thinks. If there is nothing going on during the day it sounds like Holland America. I like Hollands overall experience, food, BB King Blues Club and theater entertainment are good but theres nothing much going on during the day.

I've been on a lot of different cruise lines and by far the worst dining service i had was on the Norwegian Breakaway. I was ordered wine every night and i was receiving it when diner was over every single night. I asked them multiple times but i had to personnaly go at the bar to order it or else I wouldn't have anything To drink for diner. Not even water.

HI Morgan, I love your story time episodes - just finally watched this one! I was hesitating because I didn't want to hear bad things about a ship that I adored, but phew! I've never been on this cruise line LOL. Question: Are you able to compare best cruise lines or itineraries for a Hawaii cruise? We'd actually like to visit Disneyland and Hawaii ... To anyone that complains that any videos are a bit out of sequence, keep in mind that these videos are being done at no cost to the viewer. Something I found very funny. I said this in another comment, but I was on the Carnival Dream when I noticed an MSC boat not too far away. I had actually planned to ask if you knew anything about this particular cruise-line. Now we may have been too far away to notice, but I saw very little in the way of recreational amenities on the top deck, i.e. no water slides. I may have simply missed it. To me, service trumps nearly everything else. Great service is knowing when you're needed and when you're not. Still, I would rather have an over eager server than a negligent one. Now I'm not saying that I expect to be waited on hand and foot. but I would rather not have to go searching for something that by all rights should be brought to me. I think something that also makes a difference is how well is the server being tipped. I understand that a lot of us, myself included, engage in prepaid gratuities. I still take a considerable about of disposable cash that I use to tip a little extra. As I work in an industry that relies heavily on tips, I know that a well tipped server will be of more service than one that is getting stiffed. Remember what TIPS stands for. To Insure Peak Service. Thanks for sharing.

OMG!!! We felt almost exactly the same way!!! We kept saying, how can the MSC Divina be so beautiful, and the food & service be so bad? The main dining room was so tight, my wife had to stand for a moment, to make room for our server every time he wanted to get to the far side of our table. The topic of discussion at dinner every night was, how will the mess up the food tonight, especially on the Italian dishes! How does an Italian cruise line, screw up Italian food?

I think, there is even worse: "Easycruise". You pay very little, but for this you have a place on the ship in an shoebox-like inside cabin. Stop. You pay for everything, even food (high-quality-conserves), and the cabin cleaning (or you do it by yourself). Nice!

I sailed on the Divina in May of 2015. I paid a bit extra, and got one of the Yacht Club Suites. While I agree the buffets are lacking, and while I agree the entertainment was anywhere from non-existent to lame, the Yacht club was pretty special. Free drinks, a staff that practically falls over themselves to make you happy, really nice food in the "Le Muse" dining room. I've been on the NCL Jewel, as well as the Ruby Princess, and of the 3, this was certainly the most "pampered" experience of the 3.

I will say, although the new Seaside looks amazing, MSC completely lacks imagination with destinations. Living on the west coast, I'd love to see MSC do some california coastal , and alaska runs. Maybe they could reposition the divina for mexico/alaska cruises.

Like the format. Around the time you sailed on MSC I heard a lot of the same things. Have heard they have improved of late but have never sailed with them. One thing of not is they will supposedly give you frequent guest status equal to your highest on another line. I'm tempted to try Seaside when it comes to Miami. Can't make a martini???? Gin or Vodka, after that, what is the question other than vermouth or not, not!

I'm so interested to hear that MSC management actually invests in good design-- which is, let's be real, lacking in MOST cruise lines, except maybe the luxury brands I have not cruised with-- but does not invest in good middle managers, in this case Cruise Directors and staff trainers. There's somebody high up in the MSC hierarchy who thinks it's good strategy to cut corners on the "human factor" of running a service business... so, so foolish in the vacation business. If that C-level "leader" is the same as when you took your MSC cruise, I guarantee nothing has improved. It'd be fun to go consult the shit out of them.

I Cruised on the MSC Magnifica in the January of 2017. It was great, it was in the winter and it was so affordable but we still all got treated like Kings and Queens. I would love to go again, in my opinion it was worth way more than we paid. I would definitely recommend it. Also its not boring if you go with friends, I went with a group of 20 friends from school, it was great, none of us found it boring at all. Its the best holiday I've been on to date. I can't recommend it enough.

Had a horrible experience with MSC Divinia Bad food, we got sick several times. We were just not ignored, we were treated poorly and rude. We are not huge fans of Carnival and we didn't have a great experience but would go back on Carnival before MSC.. Beautiful, modern, clean ship. Horrible staff! We were charged for an extension cord for my husband cpap machine and they could not find any distilled water for him. Thy lost our stuff, and wanted us to pay shipping for returning it to us. Never again MSC!! So it wasn't only you! We love Celebrity! Going on our first RC in March. Can't wait!!

Morgan you need to give MSC another chance. I am not sure if it is different from Germany, wait I have done a cruise from Germany and MSC is great. I am not saying everything is 100%, but they definitely have enough food and the shows are great, (normally) I have never had any bar tender tell me they can't make me a drink. I think you just had a bad cruise. So sorry for that. I mostly cruise with them cause they come to South Africa where I live. Hope you try them again and have a better experience. Happy Cruising.

I felt the same way about the Norwegian Escape. We had cruised on RC twice before and tried out another line and it didnt live up to par. It wasnt horrible, I did enjoy myself but we all thought RC was a lot better. Compared to RC, Norwegian didnt have a lot to do. My brother and I were even cooped up in the room watching ping pong on TV because all there was really to do was go to the pool which we didnt feel like doing. Lol

Wait a minute wait a minute. The Escape has 4 waterslides, 2 pools, mini-golf, a huge climbing course, bowling alley, and a video arcade, and you guys couldn't find ANYTHING to do besides watch ping pong on TV??? Sorry, but you're doing it wrong.

That's what I was concerned about when considering MSC. It doesn't look like there are any activities.

try MSC again. I have been on the MSC Presiosa and it is incredible

I have cruised twice with MSC in 2014 and 2017 and on both occasions, I had a really great time. Both my cruises was on the Sinfonia, which is the smallest of their ships. I have never cruised with any of the other cruise lines, so I cannot really be objective. Maybe the other cruise lines are better, but the service I have received was always up to standard and the entertainment was top class.

Hi Morgan. I hope you not offended by me telling you this. But I really think you should give MSC another chance. I have only cruised with MSC, reason is that they come to South Africa, where I live in Durban. I have done about 15 cruises and have enjoyed most of them. Having said that yes I have had some problems with them, but on the whole, it is cheap and I have seen so many different countries with them and places I would not have seen if it had not been for them. There is always so much to do on the ship, that when we get off, we feel as if we need a holiday to recover. I however am not always happy about the food situation and I don't think it an MSC thing, just a general cruise thing. I don't think any cruise ship cooks food with care and love anymore. It is all mass produced to feed the thousands on board and that is why the food, for me, sometimes just is not up to standard. I prefer to eat in the restaurant, but when I do the buffet, I do that same as you. Look at all that there is on offer and then I decide. There is so much food and it becomes too overwhelming for me. Sounds like your experience was similar to that the one I had on carnival miracle. Absolute nightmare and a company I would not give my hard earned money to no matter how cheap it was.
