Excellent video! Absolutely beautiful GS, the best looker of all the old vespas. Im a little jealous! The orange / bare metal colour contrast looks mint too! But I will just have to make do with my new 'modern' PX 150 i suppose! Gonna 177 kit the engine and fit the flytech ignition to mine too :)

I think so, as all the stators these days are Indian and original piaggio ones are expensive, so I thought it was worth the extra cash and I have been proved right as I have had no problems with the ignition system for a couple of years. It was tricky to set the carb up correct, backed off at 67/70mph ish as the front end was lifting. Theres also no need for first gear on this scooter, 2nd & 3rd have dealt with everything that has been thrown at it.

Hi Gary, is this the same bike as the picture story which showed a full rebuild after a crash? It's a great look, and I am thinking of doing the same to my farro, how has the clear coat lasted over time and what product did you use? Cheers Dave

sand blasted, then hours with a wire wheel on a grinder, to polish the metal, clear powder coat, painted the underside of the floor, mudguard & inside side panels, it will last about 2 years, but I regularly coated the surface in acf50 so it would last longer, it still looks good with a little rust
