SPEEDWHEEL - Ingenious tuning part for more top speed from KÜBLER RACING for Vespa GTS HPE 300 models (from 2019)
10 km / h faster without changing anything on the engine? With the modified tone wheel from Kübler Racing this is possible without any problems. The tone wheel is a slotted steel disc on the rear wheel, with which the wheel speed for the ASR / ABS control is determined.
Plus 10km / h top speed
No intervention in the engine necessary

SPEED LIMITERS Although the Vespa GTS HPE have more power on the rear wheel than their predecessors, the top speed unfortunately does not benefit from it due to an early-on limiter. This is due, among other things, to the somewhat strongly leading speedometer display. At a real 120km / h the speedometer shows 130km / h, but from a speedometer 130km / h the on-board electronics regulate consistently.
This is exactly where the new tone wheel from Kübler Racing comes into play. What sounds like magic at first is ultimately simple physics. The new tone wheel has a modified geometry, which means that the exact, real speed is now transmitted to the control electronics. Now the indicated 130km / h are also real 130km / h on the road. The limiter therefore also takes effect a full 10km / h later, although the speedometer shows just as much as before the conversion (130km / h).
Ideally, the higher top speed can be confirmed by a comparison using a GPS speed measurement (e.g. via mobile phone) before and after the retrofit. In the stored performance diagram you can see the difference in how many km / h the governor takes before and after the retrofit.
ASSEMBLY
For conversion, the exhaust and the swing arm on the right (in the direction of travel) of the vehicle are dismantled. After simply replacing the tone wheel (screwed to the rear wheel rim with 5 M6x20 hexagon socket screws), only the ASR system is recalibrated, that's all.
