😉😉😉 considering it’s traditionally an urban tool it’s a proper surprise and good for overtakes on our roads round here 😉😉😉

Hi Graham, Your Vespa handles well and achieved 69 ish mph good going so it is good for riding on the Dual carriageway. Heading East bound towards Llanfairfechan on the A55. Just a quick one, I havent been towards Caernarfon in two years is the Caernarfon by-pass open if it is whats it like to drive on. Have a good week take care

Hi! Yes it’s open. It’s easy to speed on it. Very easy. There’s a couple of lay-bys and a camera van might be in them but since they are very rare you don’t see them often. It’s saved a good 10 minutes apparently which I can well believe. We use it . There’s been a few deaths on it so just keep your eyes peeled for the vans and racers 😊👍😊

I’ve had an xmax250 and honda sh300 and they really are fantastic tools. I rode my x max to Gibraltar and back twice cruising at 65mph.the sh 300 was quick and up to 50 can easily out perform most cars from the lights. The x max would do 85 and the honda an indicated 90. I changed the variator weights on the x max when I went to Spain which brought the revs down and decreased fuel consumption. I didn’t notice the acceleration loss. My only gripe about them is my honda 125 used to do 140mpg flat out. The scooters 65-70mpg the same as my 650 v strom. I suppose slipping belts drive is a huge drain on the fuel like old automatics.. They are also supremely comfortable and great for old legs Great not having a chain and diy easy. Seat off and full access

There’s some really great info here. I did think the consumption would be worse than it is. I just wish it had a bigger tank. But that Honda sounds much better on fuel 👍
