Not just GS was the only 10" wideframe.. there is also a VGL which has 10" wheels as a standard. It was nicknamed "GS dei poveri". Produced 1957-58. It was more or less VB1 body with larger wheels. Made also as MISA licence in Belgium and as Swedish export version by Messerschmitt AG in Germany.

Great summary and fills in a lot of holes in my knowledge of the progression of the design. Are there people who actually pay 50-70 k for an original Vespa and then do tuning? I would have had thought the originality was the reason for the value (irrespective of drive ability).
