I’m really determined to change my main class for the first time for TWW, but it’s really hard to get into a new class! I’ve always been Holy Priest and I thought I would choose a Warlock or a Warrior, but after your video, I realize that the fantasy of these classes is not for me even if the gameplay is really nice, then I risk to play for a few weeks at most before returning on my priest, as always. Thank you for your suggestions, they certainly help me in my process!!

I just got back into WoW a little over a week ago. I've been making classes that I've never played to really see what class I like best. I've always been a Hunter main since Vanilla. But since making a DK and playing it for about a week... I think I have a new main :D . I may even learn how to tank for PvE. Definitely best to just play them all and see what feels best for you.

Great video on picking your main! As a healer main 🤓 there is more variety on the type of healer as not all are pure reactionary. Resto Druid and disc priest, for example, are better played preparing for damage to come out. A good healer will know when damage is going out so even a reactionary healer, like holy priest, can keep their buttons ready to go when the damage finally lands.

Me being just about every tank main, please we need more people to tank. I promise it’s not as hard as you think it’s mostly initial nervousness to overcome. In some cases it’s simpler than being a DPS in my opinion. I played Unholy DK for 4 years after WoLK and then tried Prot Pally/War to begin with and have never been much happier with the role.

For my sake I'll go with Enhancement Shaman, storm Build...obviously. My old main I played a ton during Vanilla-WOTLK. Looks and SOUNDS awesome with a storm build currently. Which is way more important than performance for me, never been a slave to any meta since it's so fleeting anyway.

I will be Feral as i was for last 12 years. Burst is amazing, i am getting 800k bursts at 485il, never seen anyone do that even with 515 or they are just bad. Gameplay was pretty much always the same and i dont mind it.

Affliction isn’t a dot spec anymore, it’s throw out a couple of tickling dots then spam 1 button that feels like it does nothing. Shadow priest is the wow dot spec now.

@@Flexterex they do damage but MR has almost no visual and does almost all your damage - your dots don’t feel like they do any damage, and I thought it was supposed to be a dot spec.

It's hard to go by tier lists from these top rated players because their time to kill/pull sizes were totally different than everyone else farming 8s for vault each week. I'd love to see a "practical" tier list where long ramp classes are lower tiered than up front damage classes that can get mobs to 50% hp in a couple of seconds. Like s4 fire mage in an +18 vs a fire mage in a +8 on tyrannical are two totally different dps experiences.

But who cares about what's best in an 8? You can do every dungeon with any spec in under 15 minutes with just a moderate group. Multiple specs will do well at low key levels simply due to damage patterns. Best in an 8 will be the best burst since the mobs die in 10 seconds.

There's only so much you can garner from a tier list. I, as a human, can't perform the same as a top tier player. So something "less good" may outperform a top meta pick when I'm playing it. Which I guess is why it's always best to play what you're having fun with

I’ve always played feral for the most part as my main. DF for feral (at least from my experience) just felt almost unplayable in 3s, sitting on bear form every game. Makes me question if I want to stick with feral in TWW

My biggest advice is don't just default to dps! Dps is an extremely competitive role and being good at it means you need to get SWEATY. If you don't want to spend hours at a training dummy, simming your character feels dumb, and learning tiny optimisations for 0.1% more damage sounds exhausting, don't play dps! The world needs more healers and tanks, and they don't require getting as deep into the maths.

Id argue thats not entirely true, playing a healer is PhD level of gaming in high end content, timing cds and knowing boss patterns etc it requires an insane amount of knowledge AND practise, and you cant really practice on a dummy for that

Im always torn between my Spriest and Warlock, I am most likely to pick my warlock, as they seem to never set in stone how Shadow plays, i dont wanna end up having to almost relearn my spec every expansion because they keep adding and removing crucial spells.

I have a question about the discussion on races. Is it important to play a race that has a higher damage potential than others or does it not matter at all? For example, does a Nightborne Hunter get into a group as easily as a Dwarf? I'm not actually of the opinion that you have to submit to a pressure when choosing, but there are still certain doubts with regard to inclusion in groups. Greetings from Germany btw. Pick the race that looks cool. Just like class: your Race literally doesn't matter if you have to ask. The difference in dps is so trivial it won't matter as much as liking how you look.

you don't have to worry about race until you get into very high competitive type keys. Yes, some races have advantages in keys, like shadowmeld from night elves, to stoneform from dwarves. But the race isn't going to keep you from getting into a key.

Don’t chase the meta? Play what you like playing ? Good luck getting invited in +3 keys. Every scrub invites the meta even though they are doing low keys. The right answer is not play what you want, the right answer is play what class you prefer playing from the meta classes. Trust me and save yourself hours in LFG.

I’m stuck between 3 classes currently (Frost mage, Destruction/Affliction warlock and my vanilla ret paladin that has progressed sometimes as a main other times as my number 2 but always there since the beginning of wow) still struggling to nail it down to one and then I also have my shadow priest on the periphery.
