I was a little skeptical about it at first but this did make sense. I purchased 3 unit for emergency or back up. I do have an office in my home which I use this for. My office room is 10x15 with the door close it does warm up just right. I only use 2 cans when I get a little cold at night. I highly recommend it for any emergency. Fan kick in when it warms up.

does it smell?
@educational4434
@educational4434 2 ай бұрын
@@lifehacks697 No. The box itself has no olfactory sensory organs, so it has no ability to smell anything around itself.

When you take the lids off the fuel cans straighten the wicks up, and fluff them up good. That will make them burn a lot hotter!!!

Would this heater be safe to sleep all night while it's running? I've read its unsafe to sleep in a tent with a propane heater because of carbon monoxide.

Nice cans. Wonder how they would work inside the hot tent stove instead of wood.

I’m really curious how this would heat an SUV or small van using one or two to minimize the effect on air quality. Also curious if this would be better against condensation forming. Using a propane heater causes instant condensation.

I am too curious to see in a vehicle. I bet if you get a few of those dehumidifier pods that they sell for closets might help on the moisture

How much do those alcohol cans cost? Seems cheaper than installing a $2K diesel planar heater which I wouldn't use that much, at least not to that cost. Nice alternate source of heat. Do you leave the windows cracked? Does it smell?

The cans are cheap a few dollars at most flats come with 12 cans at roughly 20 dollars I do Crack a window because yes it smells like burnt alcohol. They aren't the best in a tent unless you sit directly in front of it. Indoors it's great especially during power outages.

The real question is can you swap the cans out for few Trangias?...
@educational4434
@educational4434 2 ай бұрын
NO. Absolutely not. Someone has already done this test on KZbin and they set fire to the unit and melted it, because those Trangia flames burn way hotter, and the liquid can spread, unlike the gel in those self-contained Sternocans with the wick that controls the level of flame

First of all, how about just stay in the tent for 6 hours and actually test. Second watch the video at 2x speed and it runs like a normal video...
