The Vestax 05a was part of Vestax' entry level series. It hit the markets sometime between 1993 and 1995. Here is my review.
I just recently remembered, I had the Vestax PMC 05a sitting on my shelf in its original box together with the original power unit and the user manual. After posting a picture on it in the "Old School Mixers (and turntables)" group on Facebook, I decided to finally make the first review video for my Old School DJ Gear channel.
The Vestax PMC 05a is a simple two-channel DJ mixer with two phono/line inputs with line faders, a master volume, a head phone output with cue switch and cue volume fader, and a mic input with volume and tone control. On my mixer the mic made horrible cracking noises so I decided to not include a sound sample of the mic in the video.
After giving the crossfader a little maintenance, I hooked it up to my turntables and did a little drums juggle.
Stick around for more Old School DJ Gear reviews.
