Do you think this machine is better as far as quality of shots when compared to the Londinium LR24 and the Lelit Bianca? Thanks!

Ah, David.. that machine is a beast. Had never heard of it till I stumbled upon this video. I'm subscribed, but hadn't seen any sort of notice for this video. Pity the cat. Cheers.

I don't know how all that smash like and subscribe works, perhaps I need to do something. I just stick up a video now and again whenever I do something I'm personally finding interesting and want to share. Sometimes a while goes by before I do a video.

@@DaveCorbey I like your style and never heard of this machine brand before and no USA dealers but direct can buy at good deal. How does ACS compare to Marzocco and other premium espresso brands?

Looks like you are enjoying using the prototype, better still if the shots are good!

I am, but then I always had a soft spot for the LSM lever group. Old Frankenstein is made up from a used bits box, rough and ready and missing some stuff...but the coffee!!

Stunning machine - thank you for sharing. Interesting change from all the e61s. Do you have an Olympia Cremina in your collection of machines? Curious on pros and cons If you have thoughts to share. Subscribed and Alerts on!

I don't, they seem very popular and incredibly expensive!

Subbed! Excellent review and considering this as my next espresso machine. How difficult is it to move from semi auto to lever based machine like this one and how has reliability, parts and custom support been thus far on the Vesuvius Evo? With strong USD, I can order direct for less than most machines.
@DaveCorbey2 жыл бұрын
Very easy to learn, ACS give great support and this is a very advanced lever for temperature control. The one you see is the alpha, the production machines are much better. Reliability is good.

The high pitch pump noise seems very distracting. It's hard to tell from a KZbin video but how does it compare to the Mara X you['ve got next to it? I believe the Mara X and Elizabeth are some of the quietest vibration pump units, right?
@DaveCorbey3 жыл бұрын
I would say the MaraX and Elizabeth are a lot quieter and are the quietest vibe pump machines out there,...but being distracted, I couldn't be sure. That's the nature of a gear pump running at full speed to fill the group.... it's only for a few seconds, so no biggie for me. Plus the Alpha one text bed has no bottom panels at all, so the sound does reflect off the hard surface below a bit.

gioiosa54 12 days ago @Dave Corbey Hi Dave ,,its been a while ,, finally made up my mind to get a Leva , was wondering water wise ,, will the Leva work well with RO water or de-mineralized water or even distilled water ? Or is there need to re-mineralize somehow , ? Im mainly thinking of the probes that detect the boiler water level , thanks ( i currently in my machine use distilled via re-mineralization according to Barrista Hustle recipes) -- 12 days ago Oh and I am in North America , in my kitchen i can manage either voltage 120 and 240v - so should which one would be more advantageous ,, i hear the boiler wattages are identical - i dont much steam only occasionally ! thx

I happily used it on neat RO water less than 10 ppm.

hI dave ,,i'm debating getting a La San Marco spring lever group from ACS , I have already owned a Lelit Bianca ,,any thoughts on what i would be losing or gaining -- i really like very syrupy and sweet shots ( I mainly pull ristretto shots) - i hear the smaller basket is an influence on the final taste . please comment --thanks

I think you will get the shots you are looking for from the Vesuvius EVO Leva (I think it's the name they have chosen), the LSM group I have been testing.

May I ask what the mod on the Marax to the right is? Is it a LCC? What does it achieve?
@DaveCorbey3 жыл бұрын
It's something used to monitor the systems responses at a low level...used for testing some possible future software ideas.
