Looks awesome! How difficult is it to get setup and using the machine? How reliable and good has support been for it? Looking at it as possible next machine to learn lever based espresso making.

Pls can you tell me the maximum coffee dose you can put in the basket with the two spouts portafilter? Thank you very much

That will depend on the bean and roast level. But the double basket it came with I think was somewhere around 18 grams give or take. Something like that. You can buy other baskets

Thank you for the video. I am looking for a Lever machine, with nowadays temp control. Any cons that you have noticed regarding Vesuvius Evo Leva ACS?

It cools down quite a bit before it hits the group. Generally Dual boiler machines have a preset ‘offset’ so if you choose 91C for example the boiler will actually heat hotter to compensate getting 91C at the group. Rocket machines usually don’t use an offset, so you have to do some calculations or testing to know what to set the boiler at to get 91C. With this machine you might see the group is set at a lower temp. And with some testing I have found out that if the brew boiler is set around 100C and hits a preheated group set to 90-94C range it does not overheat the group. So it’s probably about 5-8C offset. Hope this makes sense.

nice setup. What was your PI and brew pressure set?
@bakeblaker012 жыл бұрын
PI was messing with and had it set super low below 1bar. Since then I put it back to 2 bar. (Factory) I’ll have to set it lower again at some point but I change beans a lot so it hard for me to know if the PI is making a taste difference for me. The duration of the PI seems to help soften harsh acidity for sure. This video was both springs that peak at about 10 bar. Since then I have removed the inner spring so it peaks at 6 bar, as I’m playing with some lite-medium to lighter roasts lately and it seems to have really smoothed out and balanced the bite that lighter roasts seem to have. I’m not a huge fan of citrus notes and flower flavours in my coffee but the 6 bar peak I think has really made me enjoy lighter beans more then I have previously. I’ll have to revisit this though my in a few months after I switch back and forth with 2 springs a few more times.

How hard was it to remove the inner spring? I just ordered the ACS vostok and (impatiently) awaiting its arrival.

Oh the vials? That’s a Weber Workshops product. Really nice quality.

Think you are grinding way too tight...lot of nonsense talked about 60 second shots on levers! When you cock the lever, if you are not getting first drips by 6 seconds maximum you are too tight. From first drips to completing the shot should be no more than 24 seconds.....please try it!
