The 4 bore was never trying to get through... the semi-flat surface is intended to transfer all the force. He does have pointed rounds for it, true elephant killers, but there was no need. You hit the first man in the shield wall with this, the others are not wanting to be there anymore. If you really want to terrorize, hit the visor which would simply vanish.

I was a little disappointed that the 4-bore didn't fold that shield over, it practically turned body armor inside-out.

The shield, being a massive ceramic plate with fibers made into the ceramic, simply transfered 80% of the force into the user. The two ways that shield is used both put your arm in direct contact, just as the cinder block was. In both cases, you will probably need that arm removed because ALL the bones have been shattered.

@@ChicagoReacts in the ballistic gel test it showed it, where these round head lead bullets became flat. The soft material and shape is designed to kill things that it could not penetrate. The well known scientific statement "energy cannot be destroyed" comes into play here. You do not see the bullet bounce off, rather the bullet simply stops, having transferred almost all the energy into what it hit. The desk toy of metal balls striking does the same thing.

re: Humvees; I remember looking this up years ago when they started phasing them out for the bigger vehicles with some actual IED protection - you can buy surplus'd Humvees for really cheap (obviously no 50 cals on the back & no radios, but other than that....). If I remember correctly most are stored out in sites out in the desert in like AZ or NM. The main problem is that they were never built with a VIN or to US federal roadworthy standards, so it's a really difficult if not impossible process to get them registered for US roads. Like... most states simply won't allow you to register it without a VIN unless it's some historic vehicle from before VINs were introduced, but the Humvees are too new; basically a paperwork gotcha that's impossible to fulfill. I remember seeing some KZbin video where a guy in Texas was able to do it and it still took forever & a ton of effort; but most states just won't let you. So you could buy it for a museum, but you can't really drive it out in public. Might work for Kentucky Ballistics here though on his own property. Also, the other problem with them is... they are designed to have regular maintenance; and many parts are.... I don't want to say designed to fail.... but not designed well, and need to be replaced often (like basic electrical converters & stuff), and the only place to get a replacement part is from *another* surplus Humvee. Same video I saw had that issue. So unless you want to deal with all the auto work yourself & possibly having to reverse-engineer & build your own new spare parts; it's probably not a great idea. The example I saw was some electrical converter that's housed in an air-tight water-tight semi-bulletproof box (and has no spare), which is great for not immediately failing in the field in bad conditions, but it overheats and will die & need to be replaced regularly (like 3-6 months).

The 4-bore is the equivalent of a blender. Doesn't matter how hard yhe armor on the outside is, the flesh on the inside is getting liquefied

I'm trying to imagine some sort of scenario where this would happen, like the recent invasion & all the civilians turn in their old hunting rifles, and some Russian soldiers breach into some public building or something and you've got like some older vets with their big game hunting rifles down a hallway or something... be something they wouldn't be expecting & would really really suck for the dude with the shield.
