I work with young adults with disabilities and while the "war" or conflict is not always supported. I try to drive home the fact that those who fought and died for the rest of us, deserve our highest honors and respect, no matter what.

Grace & Peace. Today, we honor Veterans. We can give honor because Veterans gave courageously. Our prayers and voices are woven in a thread of gratitude. We are grateful for soldiers on the front lines and the ones who worked unknown and unrecognized. We see you. We are grateful for healers who patched up the torn. We are grateful for the oath you took, the promise you kept. We are grateful for every hour you walked and every night you wept. We honor mothers who kissed sons goodbye. We honor fathers who watched daughters take flight into war's sky. We honor spouses who held tight to an empty bed. We honor friends who waited and words left unsaid. Today, we honor the weight you bear, our words too small for all you dared. For those who served, in peace and war, we stand, we salute-forevermore.
