It's so cool u have this instructional video on how to operate the screen! I doubt it comes with an instruction booklet explaining all this. I was just thinking on a ss review that I watched the other day is how is someone s"pose to know how to operate the menu! Thanks for the video! Yall are the best! It would be cool to see a begode suspension master class though. Seeing how all there suspension wheels use the same style. Or at appears that way anyways. Like how to upgrade, and a Lil explaining on what the little grub screws are on the side of the slider casings! See so much on fb ppl asking about those screws and ppl saying that it is easy to over tighten and mess up some type of brass ring inside? Thanks again! super helpful! is the preload is adjusted by turning the large nut at the bottom or the smaller golden nut at the top? how does adjusting compression damping on the right side affect the left shock?
@2cells1pack
@2cells1pack 11 ай бұрын
The preload adjustment is the golden knot at the top of the wheel. Adjusting compression on one side only affects compression dampening. The other side is rebound dampening
@darkstar4494
@darkstar4494 11 ай бұрын
@@2cells1pack thanks, preload is the smaller golden nut at the top! My question is more about how it works.. the shocks seems to be independent. I don’t understand how adjusting something on one side can affect the other side. I understand that each side has a different adjustment (each of which affects both sides)
@2cells1pack
@2cells1pack 11 ай бұрын
It doesn't affect the other side. This was the torsion concern as the one shock does all of the compression dampening

Full suspension preload, does it affects spring stiffness to harder, or makes suspension travel distance shorter/longer, or just makes pedals higher/lower from the ground? As i found information that more heavy persons should set preload to clockwise as lighter persons should counter clockwise preload screw.
@2cells1pack
@2cells1pack 9 ай бұрын
Spring stiffness - harder yes suspension travel -> depends if it would bottom out the spring or not - which would require me to disassemble a unit and see inside It would also make your pedals higher from the ground potentially.

Thanks for this! I'm expecting my Patton soon and this is super helpful for navigator LK's confusing settings menu 🙈🤣 BTW, when you did the demonstration at the end, you had preload set to minimum, didn't you? Wouldn't increasing the preload make it less likely to bottom out?
@2cells1pack

Yes increasing preload will help a little with bottoming out, but after adjusting it we still had issues. Therefore we reverted it before selling it to the next owner.

@@2cells1pack Right. So if preload doesn't help all that much.... I was going to go for the 62 lb version but maybe the 66 lb would be better. I'm 75-80 kg (165-175 lb) fully geared and will be using this wheel for trail riding (nothing crazy Chooch-style, no jumps, but mostly off-road use), it's probably better to get the 66lb suspension right? (And set it up for very little preload)
@2cells1pack

PWM / Safety Margin are used interchangeably, however they refer to the "headroom" one has when doing higher speeds. A good safety margin is 70-80%. If you get to 70-80% of wheel's usable power - I tell people to turn on the tiltback so that they have 2 forms of safety: beeps & physical tiltback.

Pre-load does not decrease chance of bottoming out, what pre-load does is reduce sag and increase the amount of force it takes to get the suspension moving, it does not change the spring rate, preferably you wan't no pre-load as it will make small bump compliance worse
