While I don't think we should allow everyone who walks up to the gate in just so we can say we're righteous, saying they don't matter is taking things too far as well. Look, the way I see it, if you're a legal immigrant, you got permission to come here, you should be able to enjoy anything and everything about America, that a person who was born here can. Legal immigrants, while I don't enjoy having them come in, I do understand why!! They are coming from very rough countries and trying to make better lives for themselves and that's the promise, that's why the country exists. So obviously we should help as many people as we can!! And I am glad you can see that unfortunately we can't help everyone, I wish we could. So, all in all, I think you and I are pretty much on the same page when it comes to immigration!! And absolutely, Republicans who act cruel, xenophobic and hateful, are being patriotic or pro America and it is most certainly not the American way. And I can understand why you would be upset by their hypocrisy!! The only real different I see between you and I, is perspective. While you see the Republicans as xenophobic and hateful, which I don't doubt they are out there, every bunch has it's bad apples!! I've mainly been seeing, personally this is just one person experience, I have seen Democrats or more specifically Leftist radicals calling Black conservatives every name in the book, including the n-word. Not to mention they took it upon themselves to police the world and control everything. I don't care if you have the noblest intentions in the world, no one should have the kind of power they have in the media, NO ONE. They control the schools, the news, Hollywood, basically most facets of our society. And again, that's the main difference I see between conservatives and liberals, is that liberals control everything!! And that terrifies me, so at this point in time, I see the Left as the bigger threat. But, I know there are good liberals out there and I lean Left on a lot of issues, just like I lean Right on a lot of issues. So, I'm glad we can talk civil about this stuff. @@braceyourselvesfortruth2492 well first up when it comes to Flying the American flag there's actually a federal law on the books that has been there for quite some time that makes it illegal to prohibit someone from flying the American flag regardless of where they are located.... associations have the right to make rules however they do not have the right to go against the laws that affect all 50 states.... there are several occasions were rules are added in after you moved in as well.. my workplace is smack dab in large areas of nothing but gated communities, and a handful of Office Buildings spread out... my one client despite living in the same house for almost 30 years is now being forced to get rid of her fruit tree because of the new rule essentially other people in the community we're not cleaning up their trees so now everyone's being punished for the actions of a few and being told cut it down or you will pay a Daily Fines ... she's currently struggling to get the money together to pay somebody to cut it down the trees been on the property for as long as the properties existed and being recently widowed is not helping in that cause...... there is another community in the area that changed the rules you are not permitted to own a car older than 10 years of age regardless of its condition. Gated Community started off making rules keep your grass cut keep ,your yard looking nice don't paint your house funky colors, now many have been crossing the line every chance they get
