Veteran with PTSD Says Best Thing was Adopting Dogs | Farm Family Simple Life | Happy Dog Videos

It's coming up to 7 years now since we opened the farm, and then almost 2 years since we closed the dog day care business. I started making this video as a bit of a quick explainer (I have a few in the works) for our recent new subscribers, but it has turned into a bit more of a thank you to those that followed us down this less popular, less traveled, rockier road. A decision completely made with our hearts and not at all with our heads.
It has not been easy, but they say some of the best things aren't. We have questioned ourselves many a time. But with almost 2 years now past, we can say with all our hearts that this has been the best decision we have ever made. We might not be making as much money and we may have lost a few followers along the way, but having the chance to give a big bunch of rescue dogs a life they previously could only dream of, one we only dreamed of ... is extremely rewarding for us.
A heartfelt thank you to you all for following us down this path. Even when it was hard to watch. You stuck by us. You offered a kind encouraging word, you let the ads run all day, you had a cry with us, you sent us a care package or contributed to a vet bill. And I know the day care videos were always rainbows and sunshine ... but when the storm hit you bunkered down and weathered it all right alongside us.
People say social media is no good. And I know it sure can be mean. But the community here that wraps around the farm is truly special. We might be small and celebrate 80k instead of 8M but the few friends we have are real and I sure hope you feel my thanks. With every video I make for you. They sure are made from the heart.
Again ... I have turned this into something more than it was first intended. But you're all used to that by now!

I haven't watched this video yet but I know it will be absolutely wonderful because in my honest opinion they all are! But I had to share something about a short video we watched the other day with Chance and his Mom having cuddle time. My husband and I melted and then my husband said something so beautiful. He said "Can you believe they were going to put him down because they said he was a vicious dog?" Well that almost brought me to tears! Thanks to Luke and Sam that didn't happen. They followed their hearts and changed Chance's life, along with Roscoe, Nevaeh, and Molly. Now Roscoe is a Sheriff and Chance and Nevaeh are siblings that have a mother who takes care of them like precious 4-legged children! I'm certain Molly has a beautiful family as well. None of these success stories could have been possible without the Evans family! Sending you all our love and appreciation from the great state of Texas! 😊❤😊❤

Awww, that was beautiful Sam, has me all steamy eyed right now ❤. 2023 was a rough one, but I felt from the onset of 2024 that this was going to be a turn around year for The Farm, the pack, and the business of KZbin. So far so good!!! Keeping my fingers crossed for y'all 🤞✌️🫶. On a personal note, you will never know the joy you & Luke have given me these past couple of years since I lost the last of my own pack. There was a time in my life when I did 3rd world medical missionary work. I thrived on it!! It gave me such joy in my heart. My life and abilities are quite limited now, progressively, or I'd still be doing it. But I now feel some of that joy again, knowing that my monthly donations, and extras when emergencies arise, are helping an absolutely wonderful young family to help rescue dogs who otherwise would have gotten the needle. Thank you so much for your service!!!❤ And thank you for sharing your journey with all of us. It means so much.❤

Wonderful video Sam, yes seeing the daycare doggies was wonderful but im my opinion helping doggies on deathrow and close to being put to sleep for no fault of their own was 100% the best decision. 😍 The transformations were incredible, and if it wasnt for you both we wouldnt be able to see the incredible lives youve given to so many Freddo, Roscoe, Tank and Chopper, Maggie, Rover, Shadow with her 2 daughters Miss Violet and Miss Red, Cruiser, Hope and her darling mum Faith 🌈 Moose, Abra, LIly, Banjo and his sisters Rosie and Matilda, not forgetting Tilly, Joey and Cutie, and especially sweet Barney 🌈 who I still miss terribly. Sam & Luke, It has just occurred to me that it’s Valentine’s Day here in the U.S., so it’s a day later in your homeland. Happy belated Lovers Holiday! Turning dreams into reality is not easy; yet, here you are doing it day in and day out. On behalf of the dogs, Thank You!! I agree with what the others have said; but, I think what I love most is that you have gone from being Auntie Sam and Uncle Luke to Mom and Dad for all of your rescues regardless of the blood, sweat, tears, sprains and bites that it took to get there. We constantly see how much they all love you and vice versa. To the new viewers what this video does not show you are the things that make this family so endearing and loved: Luke and Sam's sense of humour, Sam's' contagious laugh, their love not only for each other, their kids and their pets but animals in general (gotta love those spiders and bats too), how they have helped Dee with her local shelter, shelter dog days at the farm, the number of other dogs that they have socialized, rehabed, trained and then found forever homes for (with the condition that if they can no longer take care of these dogs that they come back to the farm), puppy programs for orphan puppies that ended up at the shelter, making play dates for Cruiser with another dingo, trips to the beach with a bus load of dogs, holiday meals for the dogs etc etc etc etc. I truely could go on and on. Faith still gets me right to the core. Love Boxers was Bandit that caught my eye when post popped up. Hooked since many tears have fallen over the years Charlie, Faith then Barney. Tears when Cutie Pie was so sick, Lilly's long term prognosis, Freddos scare and subsequent slowing down somewhat, Tilly's real scare recently. Still miss all the originals Wal had only just passed over the rainbow bridge when became addicted but so many favourites. All the wonderful past devoted staff plus the entire Evans family. My favourite thing is to see notification of another post pop up be it Members Only, general update, short clip or hour plus love it all!!! ❤😊🎉

Wow, 2 years already, how fast that has gone. What an incredible and loving family you are. You are blessed. Not many people would do what you do. But what you’ve done, the way your farm is set out, was a dream of mine but I dreamt of many different animals, even had staff accomodation. Congratulations, you’re surrounded by love, and how incredible for all those doggies, they are blessed to know they never have to go back to the shelters, instead they are living in the most loveable home in Australia. Who cares if there’s a few strands of dog hair in your coffee? Certainly not this beautiful family. ❤❤❤❤❤
