For anyone who might feel unsure if this will work and are scared for your fur baby, this absolutely works. I care for stray cats in my neighborhood and one I've been caring for since she was a kitten ( about 6 months) had developed a very severe infection in her left eye, she couldn't open it and was releasing a lot of dishcharge. I boiled organic green tea and mixed it with honey, then soaked all around her eye and applied polysporin pink eye drops into her eye 3-4 times a day. I did this for 14 days, its worked perfectly, this man really does love animals and knows his craft. Thank you so much for everything you do for them and for us Doc.

I cannot thank you enough for this valuable information 💜 my 15 yo cat had a pretty bad swollen eye yesterday evening and coming across your video helped me to calm down. Her conjuntiva was very swollen and she could barely open her eye. A kitten came to me on the beach and he was riddled with fleas and ringworm, got ringworm myself in the process but we are both better now, one of his eye’s was completely shut and is now almost healed completely. No heavy antibiotics in his system and all resolved through methods that I used that the shelter I worked at taught me and this video along with a ringworm one. Hi Dr! Would you recommend to only stick to one of the 5 treatments, or a combination of the 5? Today is my cats first day with conjunctivitis.. it was green-tinged and clumpy first thing in the morning, and after a full day of flushing his eye with chamomile tea (5x throughout the day) the discharge is less, thinner than this morning and it seems less green. Dr. I am picking up some 30 ppm colloidal silver for my cat who has hyperthyroidism and has been having bloody urine. He’s eating drinking and no obstruction. No reduced output. We’ve treated him twice with abx but still no improvement. I finally said, enough is enough☺️. Momma (an outdoor stray) has evaded me with her kittens twice now and has refused to come into the house. I thought she was a kitten herself when I first saw her, but she was actually a pregnant adolescent. I have made many attempts to corral her, but she opted to endure a harsh winter in the garage loft with one set of kittens; and a balmy summer in the treehouse loft with the other brood. She laid what will hopefully be her last litter, under my four foot brush pile. It has been raining and I heard mewing under the pile. Momma was in the process of pulling the sodden brood into the garage. I grabbed the two kittens she’d managed to drag through the labyrinthine tunnel of sticks and branches, I grabbed momma, and brought them in. I dried them up and then went out in the dark and dug the other two out of the pile. It was a process, but I pray I got them all😒 I brought momma outside to check, but she just wanted to come back in and sit by the heater❤️ All the kittens had infected eyes. The only reason Momma allowed me to get them is because she is sick. I have been using warm green tea compresses. Thanks SO much for the extra advice. We all appreciate you.

The problem is when an outdoor, unapproachable cat has this issue... I can't get near with anything other than food. I've been adding CS to his food and there are days when his eyes look better but usually he has so much whitish discharge I can't see his eyes. It breaks my heart because I have all these remedies and cannot help him.

@@JM24180 he gets all, CS, DE and lysine but nothing seems to help enough. I've had cats with different problems over the years and CS worked like a charm. This cat is a whole different case. I can't even catch him to bring to the vet because he's too smart. Won't let anybody handle him and sprays! I'm just hoping I can find something effective I can sneak in in his food. He's a beautiful long haired black cat most likely dumped by someone in my neighborhood a couple of years ago. I've been trying to befriend him all this time but he's such a tough case.

@@iwona4685 - If at all possible to trick him into a cage with food, you might be able to successfully use a spray Colloidal Silver into his eyes. You'd probably need to keep him in a cage for several days to effectively treat the eye. Of course once released he might never forgive you and never return to your home. It is also possible that he could realize that you helped him and become less frightened of you especially if given yummy treats regularly. It'd definitely take luck and quite a bit of work. It's so hard to see them suffer.

@@nathanmachado9412 It took one week of cleaning his eyes 3 to 4 times a day. A week later I took him to the vet, he was squinting "lightly". I thought this was much more than just a home remedy, but he came out with a clean bill of health. They could not find anything wrong with his eyes. It took about 3 weeks for the squint to stop. The vet believed he must have "hit" his eyes when playing. But yes, it worked for my cat.

Also I only had green tea with spearmint and caffeine. I had honey too. (I ended up using only honey with warm tap water) however, I’d send warnings to people who don’t know what’s toxic to cats in certain green tea bag’s. If I was an idiot and didn’t look that up first I could’ve hurt my kitty. Spearmint and many other things are TOXIC sometimes FATAL to a cat. Check your tea bag’s make sure there’s nothin extra🤗

Thank you for the wonderful vid! What's lousy is I just discovered they pulled OTC conjunctivitis medications off the market. I, myself, had pink eye in July, & bought such a medication at a local pharmacy, but now that I need some for my cat, I've learned after several trips to different pharmacies in a multitude of phone calls, over the counter medications for this have apparently been pulled, forcing people into another medical (or veterinarian) bill. U didnt mention that the silver must be only 10 ppm for the eye. Others are too strong some as much as 600 ppm and can injure the eye. Love u youre the best vet ever!!!!

A friend of mine used 500 ppm CS drops on the badly infected eye of a feral kitten. I suggested a dilution with distilled water, but the very next morning that baby's eye was perfect, with no remaining sign of infection at all

@@JM24180 The 'right' dose at an effective ppm is important, as is the type (ionic/nanoparticle/capped nanoparticle) used for a given condition. One of the problems with trying to figure out how to use CS most effectively is that a preponderance of the information people find online comes from sites trying to sell them something. I believe the most reliable information comes from peer-reviewed research, and there's plenty of it.

Which remedies did you use? I have multiple cats and they have gotten conjunctivitis about 1 month ago. I took them to the vet and we were given eye drops. They didn’t improve much so I took them to another vet and he prescribed us some antiviral medication. But a few days ago one of my cats started to show symptoms again, I tried to separate the rest but each day another cat shows symptoms. I will need to take them to the vet again but wanted to know which remedies you used. I am always so stressed and anxious when they get sick especially if it’s contagious like conjunctivitis. I have been using Polysporin eye drops for my cat for years. It works well and I see results rather quickly as there is less eye gunk within 3 days. If the eye drops are safe for human eyes then they are safe for your pets. Vets just want to charge you a fortune and provide you with such little over priced medication it’s ridiculous, it’s a business like no other.

yes 1 drop in eye. They can also eat it from what I read oral A general guideline for oral dosage is 1/2 tsp per every 10 lbs, once per day, unless otherwise specified by your holistic veterinarian.(I've never given it to my cat this way)

Lysine is great for long term use and prevention. I know the newer vets are saying it doesn’t work but bs it did for mine. I watched it!

What is going on with the discharge from the eye? I mean what is the cause of it and what is it? My cat Storm looks like he’s crying snot out of one eye… Have you seen a cat’s eye get more discharge after wiping eyes with green tea/honey mixture? He won’t let me drop things into his eyes so I have to wipe with a little napkin… Thank you so much to anyone who took time to read. Sorry for bad grammar / English. I’m stressed and haven’t slept… been up all night with my Stormy Daniels, wiping his eye… Also, how contagious is this? I have four cats… I hope I don’t have to do this with all of them… My cat Cheddar would slice me to bits if I tried to touch hear his eyes… 😑 ugh.. It really sucks to see your loved ones in pain and discomfort… 😿 I’m going to find castor oil today. Hoping that helps.

Thank you so much doctor!! My cat’s eye healed!! I used 1tsp of organic honey with about 1/2cup of warm water. Mixed it really well, and when it was warm to Luke warm, I used a cotton round, soaked it in the solution and carefully wiped my cats eye with it. He kept his eye closed but I made that solution for in his eye. I started this in a Sunday whe. I first noticed his eye, took him to the vet on a Wednesday, by that time his eye was practically back to normal so the vet sent us back home. Kept doing it until the end of the week and he was 100%! Thank you so much doctor!! This works so well!!

Were u wiping around the eye or on the eye? You said the eye was closed so im a bit unsure and I dont wanna hurt my gfs cat😭

@@marlonromero4181 on the eye very gently so that solution gets in there. Did it three times a day every day. After the first day it already looked so much better! Hope it works for you too!

When Ingested yes. That's why you need to watch to make sure your cat doesnt lick it off. It should only be used if other methods dont work in my opinion.

Yes very true, my pharmacist seem bothered when I said it's for my cat.. he said "i'm gonna pretend I didn't hear that." After this video I figured the best bet is the polysporin as it's ready to go with a droplet dispenser and no mixing, also the teas can be harmful if contains certain ingredients.. I'm gonna look up my green tea I have and try that method first.

thank you doc you’re a great man you’re helping me save a beautiful baby kitty i named risky as she was born on my roof as 1 of 3 but she was the only one who went over the ledge where we found her under my truck suffering a few weeks ago but i have gave her prescription meds for this whole time and it has done good we jus need it to clear up fully and with your tips i trust she will be great in a week

When doctors say you CANT get a cold 🥶 or pink FROM your cat that's a complete 💯 LIE 🤥 I have too cats they both have colds sneezing and pink 🩷 eye 👀 I after two weeks with it at 83 degrees I get a horrible cold 😮. Then my daughter against my orders sleeps with these cats and she has PINK 🩷 EYE 👀 ...I believe that they ONLY say you CANT get it because Alot of people would not tolerate thier cats or pets getting them sick 🤢😷 BUT I a Herbalist and I used green tea ☕ mix with top notch honey not much and hot water let it cool 😎 by the end of the day both cats have improved greatly now it's time to fix the humans in the House 🏡 Even tho everyone says you CANT catch it 😅

We are not sure what our cat has but her third eyelid is back. I took her to the vet because I am pretty sure she has an ear infection I don't even think the vet looked at her ear. It got better when we changed her food but it's back and pretty sure she has major ear infection now. Our vets book 3 weeks in advance.
