I don't either. My Chihuahua has reactions to vaccines and yet they still insist on giving her them even when I have said no to them. When she has to have them I try to spread them out so she is less likely to have bad reactions. I've almost lost her 3 times now to vaccines. So I was really angry with the one that just went ahead and gave her a second vaccine after I said NO! So beware of that trick. My Chihuahua has had mucus and bad cough for 2 years now and they really have done nothing for either. In fact at first they treated her and me as if I was making it up, which really annoyed me. It wasn't until she sneezed snot all over the table that they went ahhhh ok she does have snot! She has also had reactions to some meds they have put her on like Cerenia... awful stuff. Immediately she started having rapid panting at night. She was only on it for two days. The reaction to it she had for at least 6 months. Every night with the panting, like she was really hot. Now she has an enlarged heart and they stuck her on meds for that and of course that just made her so much worse. So I took her off it after just a few days. She improved a bit but the conversation with the vet over the phone to see how she was doing was abominable. She said sorry and told me because she had a bit of distention in her stomach (which was new and I thought was a reaction to the meds) she told me it was cancer and wrote her off basically. Since I have nursed her back from death's door several times now, believe it or not but usually with puppy replacer milk when she couldn't eat, had diarrhea and vomiting and a bloated stomach at that time from reactions to rabies vaccine, I shall continue to try treating her myself with herbs and supplements, and the milk if necessary. She loves that milk and it is easy on the tummy and nutritious, when I couldn't g et her to eat or even drink water. She is already a lot better than she was a month ago but she still has the heart thing and the bad coughing and sneezing and mucus. I am migrating her over to freeze dried raw as she does not like actual raw food. I was giving some raw veggies and bananas and apples but she started piling on weight again, so cutting back, although still giving a little banana. I am also starting her on CoQ10. So THANK YOU DR JONES! I will not be having any more vaccines for this dog. Since her vets office wrote her off... I think I am done with them. We do have another younger dog, who does not have any of these issues, thank goodness. But I intend to try to keep my little older pup going until the inevitable. Just wish we clear the mucus and coughing up. While it seems we can lessen it to some degree, we don't seem able to actually get rid of it.

When I was growing up rarely did our dogs ever get a vaccines(if they did, my dad or one of the men that he hunted wtfh would give them while they were giving the hunting dogs the select ones they have them.) nor were they spayed/neutered.) hey all lived to be old senior citizens and all died from being old. I never had a dog that had cancer, ever. They were never sick and the only thing we did was give them meds for parasites. Otherwise, they ate healthy, had good lives and no problems. No heartworm issues either. Only when I was older and had larger dogs instead of only Chihuahuas or Feist mix. My first was my husky I rescued as a puppy and took him you the vet and did what I thought was responsible, even though I had never had issues with my pets prior. Then, I got more rescues of so sizes etc etc and would spay/neuter, only rabies/5:1 vaccines. I had to treat for heartworms in my husky, all of my pitties have had allergies, three has died due to cancer (male osteosarcoma within 4yrs of being neutered) and two of my Chihuahua mix - mammary CA, female boxer lab had multiple skin type issues). I'm not going to over vaccinate my girl I have now, I'll do titers & natural as much by as possible, still looking into it. She had seizures from credelio, but has allergies ever since she had the first round of vax/getting spayed. I'm so over it. Even when we when giving our own vax to our animals 20 yrs ago we didnt run into the these issues. What is going on and how can we put a stop to it. I'm tired of losing my animals to things like this. The food for our pets is outrageously expensive if you buy what is said to be good food, but yet it's processed at such a high heat that it kills the nutrients and so many pets have allergies to what's in the kibble. Corn should not be the first ingredient in any canine or feline food. I feel like I'm preaching to a choir and I know you Ms Betty are aware of my frustrations. Omg. I can't afford to have rescue animals as I once did. Bc if you get what is recommended, you end up with pets that have medical issues, but if they get hurt, most vets want to know if they are UTD on their shots. Since my old country vet passed anyway. I'm glad he taught me a lot and I'm also a nurse, so combined I do pretty decent taking care of injuries to my animals. Dogs, cats, horses, and chickens. If the vet that takes care of my horses also took care of my normal ones as well. Lol😊

For 30 years and with all my different dog breeds; Shit Zus, Chihuahuas, Huskies, Golden Retrievers I have given them the very first ones after adopting them, that is all !! I have also been cooking for them for as long. Main protein either wild salmon, beef or turkey with carrots, green beans, celery, yams, apples and blueberries. NEVER EVER given them kibble !! My two huskies had perfect health. One crossed the rainbow bridge at almost 20, the other at 18, PERFECT HEALTH throughout the years. They simply died from age. All my 8 chihuahuas lasted passed 17, one is still with me and she will be 22 next month !! PERFECT HEALTH also ! And lastly, my Golden retriever also still with me. She turned 17 back in March and now showing signs of age but still active and healthy. IF I ever listened to what vets want me to do with them, they would all have died at a premature age !! Even teeth cleaning I do at home daily. So at least in my case NO VACCINES after the original ones !!! NEVER !!!!!!!!

@rubytuesday98814 ай бұрын
Good for you! I stopped giving my dogs vaccines 15 years ago. Unfortunately, when purchasing a new puppy, the breeder has already given them their first poisonous shots. Before doing extensive research and actually interviewing veterinarians who agree/disagree with vaccines, I had given several of my dogs vaccines and they all suffered with horrible health issues. My first dog suffered a severe allergic reaction and had a seizure - the vet said it was a coincidence and had nothing to do with vaccines. Our second dog, suffered constant skin problems, ear infections and cancerous lumps. I finally refused vaccines for our third dog, and she NEVER had one skin problem or ear infection. She was a Golden Retriever who lived to be 12 and eventually succumbed to cancer. We now have another Golden who has NOT had any vaccines and he's as healthy as a horse. I hope the whole COVID fiasco woke people up to do their research and realize that these dangerous shots DO HAVE side effects. PLEASE, PLEASE do not give in to the lecture and warnings of death from your veterinarian - it could save your pets' life. Unfortunately, science cannot prove that injecting a foreign protein into an animal or even a human is safe AND effective. Vaccines are a big business and if your pet suffers an issue from one of them, you'll be guaranteed a lifetime of vet visits, followed with steroid injections, "special" expensive, horrible pet food and an empty wallet. Thank you for sharing your story!! :o)

That's awesome. My vet says they won't do titers for cats and rabies vaccine.
@eshea36213 ай бұрын
Problem is titers are prohibitively expensive ( gee I wonder why - how do we get u in every yr if the titer shows protection for multiple years.) When Parvo vax was still new we noticed it was causing reproductive issues . Vets poohed poohed us but the Guide. Dog School in England did a study and proved it. Using titers they also showed w their stud dogs that once the initial puppy & 1 yr was given that 90% never needed a booster. Their suspicion for the 10% who did need the occasional booster was they had a possible auto immune problem or at a minimum a less robust immune system. I had my young male titered for both the rabies & Parvo and he had such high titer levels they estimated he would die long b4 it ran out. I have long practiced a very similar schedule to his recommendation but getting vets to use single dose vaccines ( impossible 2 get these days) and spread out over time. We are overwhelming the immune system w these 5,6,7 combo vaccines. I do adjust it if the dog is a competition dog exposed to lots of other animals or a working herding dog at risk from raccoons, foxes, rats etc but even with that all vaccines generally stop by 5 or 6. One girl who liked to kill possums was kept fully vaccinate on a 3 yr schedule. She did die at 12 while most of my dogs have been in the 14-17yr range ( German Shepherds). Stay away from dog parks. Not only are they a disaster waiting 2 happen, my county had a huge Lepto to outbreak over 2 years that ultimately was traced back to the dog parks.

Our beautiful dog Haley a 2 1/2 year old Catahoula Terrier mix. She was a very active, happy, loving, sweet dog. On June 17 she was given a Distemper shot. I thought I was protecting her. By July 1 she had stopped all activities and refused to eat. We thought she had a UTI but it was something far worse. An ultrasound revealed that her Spleen was enlarged. She was diagnosed with IMHA or Immune-mediated hemolytic anemia. IMHA causes white bloods cells to attack the Red bloods. Her Spleen was removed and she was put on steroids and immunosuppressants. Over the next 3 weeks we saw days of improvement but more days of decline and numerous vet trips. She started leaking extreme amounts of body fluid through her incision. Then her fat layer started slipping through the incision. An emergency vet visit and another surgery. She came home and did well for 2 days then developed an infection with a fever. Another emergency visit to the vet. I knew she was dying and she passed away several hours later. I wrote in detail to warn people to not to get vaccines for your pets. The only vaccine required is a Rabies and you don’t need one every 2 years. In Haley’s case she had the distemper vaccine but many other vaccines are just as dangerous. Our dog was healthy and happy before June 17th and by August 1st she was gone. Just say no to vaccines. Just so everyone knows I have researched Distemper vaccines and found Universty studies by Doctors highlighting Distemper shots causing IMHA. Vets also know about these side effects. Please share to warn pet owners.

Pepe was my sweet little shitzu. He lived to be 19 years old. My vet had taken him off all immunizations due to his age when he was 17. He got immunized every 3 years. He took Revolution for heart worm protection, etc. My normal vet did not have Revolution at her office, so I went to my secondary vet because she had given Pepe Revolution before. She kept it there on the premise. Pepe was due for his rabies shot. The secondary vet refused to give the Revolution without Pepe getting rabies Shot. My primary vet sent a letter with me requesting vet by pass the rabies shot and give Pepe the Revolution . The secondary vet shot him up any way. He went down hill after that, couldn’t walk, see, eat, pain. He was so sick. One evening he convulsed and I thought he had died. I rushed him to the secondary vet because primary vet was closed. I was sure he was gone, but as I was crying over him he came back for one last hurrah. Vet said he had had a stroke and would be in a vegetative state. She advised me to put him to sleep. I knew he had already been gone only came back for me. As soon as she administered the shot,as I laid across him, loving him he went peacefully. Our family we were so proud of Pepe. So proud that he had lived to 19. We were rooting for him to make it to 20. The secondary vet should never have given the rabies shot due to his age as my primary vet had advised. We loved him so much, and were so proud of him. He would have been 20 on April 7 2024. Your comments have really helped me to decide not to immunize. My daughter is definitely against it for her dogs. I was still looking to get more information and found it today. Thank you so much. Sorry for your loss. I grieve with you.😂❤

the vet I fired gave my miniature dachshund a bunch of V at the same time and my dog got pancreatitis immediately after that. She lived in pain for about 4 years and I just put her to sleep two months ago. I argued with the vet at the time that it was too many V all at once or I should say she argued with me about it! I am heartbroken and now think back to the dogs my parents had that never had any V and were super healthy. Lesson learned

Mini Doxies are the top 3 most affected with side effect of vax. I am so sorry for your lost I feel your pain. I had 6 doxies, 2 passed away from vax injuries as well, it's horrible and criminal to do this to our furbabies. I no longer give anything at all to my dogs, I manage around it with exemptions and whatever I need to do to keep them safe. Also, now days there're plenty of non-invasive ways to keep them safe from bugs and viruses.

I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life by giving my full grown 4.2lb Maltese the Seresto collar for flea and ticks recommended by the vet. It caused brain necrosis, GME/NME and it killed him. I only found out after the fact that the dosage given to a 50lb dog is the same for a 3lb dog. We don’t do that for babies and adults so why do we do this for animals?!?

My chiweenie and all Doxies zero shots of any kind. I have to get exemptions from my vet in FL but the one in Canada is all pro shots and says no side effect. Well I've lost 2 Doxies (from different background and age) from AIHA (Autoimmune hemolytic anemia) caused by vax as Doxies small breed (especially Doxies) are very much affected. I pretend I'm dumb and say ok but I never vaxxed any of my dogs after adoption. My last Chiweenie of 19 months no vax at all, got her from a neglectful person who never took her to the vet nor did the breeder hence pure. I want her to live 18yrs or more and that is the only way. I will go around the laws and make sure she doesn't get poisoned. 13yrs old shouldn't get any vax at all.

No shots I only do rabies as demanded by law for the others due to travel with them. Otherwise, no shot beyond kitten. For the dog and if the cats travel give flea tick treatment. Been working on homemade type brews instead as a try to get away from this need. My fur friends if cats live to nineteen. We haven’t breeched twenty yet.
