Great tip on un-threading batteries on the smart probes... Never thought about doing that. Thanks.

Have you thought of the Tech Pac? I am a rooftop guy, and i love mine! That does look like a nice bag though for small jobs.

The MC-T may be the deffinitive answer , if you needed longer tools .

I wonder if *Veto* got feedback from Tech's about the _MCT_ not fitting inside Truck Toolboxes or certain Service Bed boxes. Doesn't seem like they're gonna phase-out the original MC, because they came out with an additional camo version.
@AKHVAC6 жыл бұрын
mike_HVAC not sure man! Never had an MCT, but I guess it's 2 inches taller than this one. I like it a lot, same height as my MB2. This bags just a reboot of their original MC with the "tech" line feel to it.

Andrew...what brand is your "luxury get in tight spaces" kit in the red plastic box??
@AKHVAC6 жыл бұрын
Ty Sterling Gearwrench! Certainly not the highest end tool brand, but solid enough and good price point. Got it on sale at Ace for 15 bucks.

When would you need to disassemble a schrader valve?
@AKHVAC6 жыл бұрын
tizben you wouldn’t disassemble the valve itself, you would replace the the core if it’s leaking. You can use that tool to do so without removing all the refrigerant to change it.

AK HVAC oh IC! I don't know much about HVAC things. Thanks for teaching me something new

@AKHVAC6 жыл бұрын
They’re small resettable power breakers that can be wired into circuits and used for low voltage troubleshooting

I noticed you had a long screwdriver tucked in the side of the bag out of the pockets. Is it possible to fit a 12 inch screwdriver or set of pliers the same way, maybe even at a slight angle outside of the pockets? I’m debating whether to get a tech MC or MCT. Already have a tech pac backpack and it’s a little too bulky and heavy loaded down with tools.
@AKHVAC6 жыл бұрын
Go MCT, if you have longer tools to me its not worth getting the shorter bag. Yeah you'll be able to cram it in, but why go through that? MCT gives you 2 more inches of height.

@AKHVAC6 жыл бұрын
Sculpin Yes it is. Quality always is, I'd rather buy once and have it last for years. Your bag protects your livelihood (your tools!)
@scrambler3506 жыл бұрын
Worth the money long-term, because it will last a minimum of 5yrs and won't have to be replaced. (Also, the added value of looking professional and organized to the customer.) If you're just getting started I'd use an old toolbag you have laying around or maybe a Harbor Freight bag to get by the first month or two till ya find out if they job is for you - then pick the best bag far whatever it is you end up doing primarily. ie. Install, residential service, commercial. By then you'll know what you use on a given day on a given call and can select the bag that best suits your needs.

Sculpin at $150 it’s not terrible, less than a days pay for quality like this and will last a long time.

Sculpin If your not going to school, read as much as you can, and take advantage of free educational sources like KZbin, podcasts etc. Never has so much valuable information been available for free on the internet.

Talk to a smaller company and see if you can start as a helper; then get a summer under your belt, decide how to move forward from there...definitely don't go to school without going through a summer and seeing if you hate it, haha!
