Just remember to take air intake outside by hose and attach air filter on end this way you can silicone lube piston by spraying a little bit into intake and also intake air is cooler this way

Yes mine was the Step gasket, But by the time I ordered the gaskets it was easier to order just the pump that pushes the air out to the gun.. $60.00.

You should get the Gx-l3. 2 battery compressor if you plan on filling your PC at the range. I have one and love it. I can stay at the range all day with the 2 battery version.

Thanks for that tip. I saw that compressor on amazon, and thought about purchasing one. There was one desired feature, which I couldn't verify with the GX. I wanted to solar charge the compressor battery with a portable solar panel. It sure would be nice to have the batteries on the same compressor enclosure. Anyway, is it possible to charge your compressor's batteries from its dc input? Thanks for watching and commenting. It's very much appreciated 👍

@@arcticairgunner it does come with 2 chargers for the batteries. You can plug them into your solar charger bank. Makita batteries will work also, but I would get the 5amp or larger. There is also a adapter so you can run the L3 off AC power.

Hi Julian! I just discovered you here. Now I can bug you on 2 channels. I'm looking into a compressor now that I picked up my 3rd PCP. (Hatsan Bullboss (.25); Hatsan Blitz (.25); Marauder pistol (.22)) Always respect your opinion on ham gear as I'm sure I will here. How many amps does the Vevor draw from the battery? Thanks!

I can pump up my Bandit and NOTOS by using a hand pump but will not be able to on the Blitz. Looks like about ten minutes with this compressor which is not bad for a good 50 shots.

Indeed. It takes about 25 minutes to pump up my Hatsan Gladius with the Hatsan handpump. Regretting not purchasing the 4 stage FX handpump for backpack portable range days. I just purchased a 740cc CF tank for the Maverick. That'll be good for 4-5 mags on the reg.

So its way slower then a hand pump.... but you're not having to pump manually. So you save your back while waiting a bit longer. Not a bad tradeoff. Does this require maintenance or oils? Also I'll be interested to see how this holds up mainly due to the fact that it seems most of the high pressure pumps I see people use for more then a year breakdown or have some sort of issues. High pressure and moving parts tend to wear things out quick.

It's much faster than my Hatsan hand pump. Remember, the bottle on this rifle is 510cc at 3600psi. It fills the Hatsan Gladius (210cc tank at 2900psi) in half the time, but it's a much smaller tank. A hand pump would be most weight-efficient off-grid but burns the most calories (if that's important). I carried this compressor and battery on my bicycle along with my rifle to the range, just to see if I could. I would definitely carry the hand pump in a backpack. This compressor would be a backpack no-go. You're correct, It's definitely a trade-off. The long-term performance with this compressor is up in the air. I created a playlist with others using the same compressor. Hopefully, that will provide some balance. Otherwise, time will tell. The Vevor requires no oils and is air-cooled. My AEA compressor broke down on the second fill of my AEA HP SS+ (O-rings). After replacing the o-rings, it has worked well. This one seems to be better quality, so i'm hoping it's going to last longer. This compressor will definitely be a regular "character" on the channel, whether it performs well or fails.

@@jerrypurnell4066 The battery started with 14.2 volts. 12 minutes later 13.4 volts. It was a 20ah LiFePO4 battery.

Its a good compresser when it works ive used it at home & out in the field using my truck battery. But unfortunately i had it allittle over a year & replaced the piston twice its just not very well made.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm at 7 weeks, and twenty-something refills of the FX Maverick 510cc cf bottle. Filled the Hatsan Gladius a few times over ghe past weeks as well. Finally. has also filled my 3L 300 bar dive bottle several times now. I have no long term experience with the compressor, but so far so good. I believe the key is managing the temperature. If/when it fails, I'll publish that also.

I had a VEVOR compressor not even a year old..And it stopped working.. Contact VEVOR they said it was under warranty so I think good.. Nope they offered 30% refund.. Now no refund.. And they don't stand behind there warranty..

This is a bummer to read. I figured to give it a try since the hundreds of Amazon reviews were so good. Hopefully it lasts longer than yours. I'm using it to fill 1.5L bottles and directly fill PCP rifles. So far so good. If it fails, I'll publish another video about it. Thanks for your feedback.

@@Harolddespui Not sure. Mine came with a rebuild kit. O-rings, burst disks, ... If it's anything like my Wolfiek Group compressor, any compressor shop can repair it.

@@arcticairgunner Yeah, but i would like to be able to repair it myself (so you don't have to ship it). I know that for the Yong Hong's and Tuxing's you can buy every part inside, even cilinder heads, but i'm in the dark about Vevor with this.

yes it will do it, but you gotta keep the use/compressor cycle down to 15 minutes or less , to conserve the compressors lifespan, to do this i bought 3 of them and run each on a 15 minute cycle giving the other two a 30 minute rest cycle when filling a tank. but i still prefer my gx l3 compressor when in the field, it runs right there and is only 76db so yeah the deer are warry but after a bit they realize it is just noise and are interested in what it is that is not hurting them but makes noise, hahaha sure target aquisition from curiosity kills the cat every timne... I've heard about the YongHeng but never had one. How long did your last?

@arcticairgunner it lasted for about 2 years with no oil change. I didn't know I had to do one. I know now, though. They say every 10 to 12 hours of use. It only takes about 2 minutes to fill a 100 bar bottle.

@derrickmitchell39dm Well that doesn't sound like a bad investment. Thankfully this compressor is air cooled. I just need to be sure to keep it under its max operating temp. It supposedly has auto shut down once it reaches that temperature, but I am afraid to try.
