Disassemble it. I recently got a 6", full of metal chips, i even found a broken dtill bit inside. The screws sticking up are for the center hub and gear, attached inside. It's not bad, but the overall fit and finish is pretty rough.

Yup, your right. It was actually pretty clean inside, a little bit of grit. They simply drilled the hub mounting bolts in the wrong area, threw in the bolts (in the T slots) tossed in a box & shipped it. Obviously, they have 0 quality control. How could they , to have let this pass by ?

don't have anything like that on mine...weird

they just screwed up & located the mounting screws in the wrong area. Tech claims there is no issue with performance, humm how do I slide the "T" nuts all the way back?

Ive never looked inside a rotary but judging by how the ones that are recessed are congruent with each other, they made it wrong, someone in the factory *cough* sweatshop *cough* , designed it wrong or something, i mean i dont know how you mess up THAT bad, i would venture to say those arent grub screws, its probably a SHC machine screw that maybe was too long when they ordered it? i have no clue but it certainly looks like a manufacturing defect to me, shame for you its gonna get in the way, i guess my solution to that would be make a aluminum or even steel subplate for it, and try to use the outer most section of the t-slots to secure it, you can probably find double disc ground or blanchard ground aluminum disc/plate that is to that size. just my thoughts, also instead of using vevor for that stuff, get some high quality machining stuff, people are always retiring or auctioning their stuff, you just have to look, youd be really really surprised how many machinist tools youll find at swap meets, flea markets, second hand stores, even go to your local Habitat For Humanity i guarantee youll at least find a nice tap handle or something.

in another video I described how I have been looking for a well-made name brand rotary table for quite some time, but the good ones that are even remotely close to me sell instantly (if they're offered at a decent price) & most are well over $500 for a well-used one. I figured for $194.00 I would give this a try. I simply put a cut-off disc on my Dremel & carefully eased it into the slot & sliced it off even with the surface. I could have sent it back, but in the end decided to keep it, yes, I had to do some work on it that I shouldn't have had to do. I do go to swap meets & garage sales & always pick up quality tools when offered (for cheap usually) those are my favorite buys.

@@bruceang82 totally, and vevor is super good too, its china made sure but sometimes thats what you want, i guess what ill add is dont make a habit out of it, because you are gonna be sitting one day with a bunch of harbor freight accessories and doo-dads that you wish you would have bought name brand or better, but for little onesy-twosies, vevor and stuff like that cant be beat

@carsonp.7009 I've never considered Vevor "super good," but as you have stated earlier, sometimes they are "good enough"...and that's enough 😉 👍
