Thank you! I couldn't figure out the filter part, and you are the only vid that showed how to take it off
@DestroyedClone2 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video, I got confused by the instructions on cleaning it since the manual said "without covering the head component" in the manual and "the top cover can't be covered" on the citric acid label. Like, the manual made it seem like it said to use the top component but not put anything on top, and the citric acid made it seem like don't put anything on top which would contradict the manual. Video helped with that.

Hero. People really uploaded like a hundred different videos talking about this unit on youtube yet none of them show how the spout is removed, several even edited that part out specifically lol was driving me crazy

Have you done a video on taking apart the fan part to show how to clean the distiller fins?
@samuelbusby4479 Жыл бұрын
The filter install was tricky to figure out so thanks for the information. My filters keep bleeding out additional carbon. I wrapped mine in a coffee filter so will add details on that later.

Do not let the distiller shut off by itself, use a timer or manually shut it off after 3:30 hours. Don't let it run dry. You can clean it with the top off. you don't need lots of water to do it. After done boiling and the water in the glass or plastic cools I run it through a Brita pitcher, not needed but helps with the taste.

They are supposed to make the water taste better. I don’t need them in Miami. We have great water. All depends and where you live. Try a batch without it then one with and see if you can tell the difference.
@Wildhoneyfire8 ай бұрын
How often do you change out your charcoal bags? I had an issue cleaning mine for some reason but says to clean with a lemon also?
@allritythen8 ай бұрын
I don’t use them at all. Never have. I threw mine away by mistake thinking it was silica gel. But my water tastes just fine. Depending on where you live you might want to use them. In Miami Florida our water is pretty good and the charcoal bag is not needed.

After using it only twice it left some weird white goop at the bottom of my machine. So weird. Made me wonder if it's from the machine or my tap water....

The distillation process removes all those impurities from your tap water.

@allritythen Жыл бұрын
Hey Tom. The crystals are descaling crystals. It’s a form of acid. You can find the powder in the description.
