It is a nice portable workbench for the price. I purchased the B&D workmate earlier this year and the Keter folding workbench t he keter is by far my favorite.

Do the connector pieces fit from underneath to keep a flat work surface?

Yes, the surface remains flat. The track is recessed in the top

P.P might you know if the the MDF top is made of waterproof MDF or just the common swell up and dissolve variety? I'm in the market for a folding work table but it will have to live in a mildly damp shed when not in the occasional use i'd put it to.

Not good with unprotected MDF table um;es you live in a low humidity state. Unlike hawaii

I live in south Louisiana with extremely high humidity and have not had any issues with product

YOU ARE LUCKY\ YOUR TABLE CAN\ME WITH OUT THE TABLE TOP BEING CRACKED ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE PROTRACTOR SIDE WHEN RECIEVED IN A N UNDAMAGED SHIPMBOX
